From creation God blessed this day (Gen 2:3) and made it for us (Mk 2:27) so that we may know God who makes us holy (Ex 31:13) It is a prophecy of rest for God's people to be fulfilled in the last days. You need to realize that the law is too high to attain. When you look at the Law, it should reveal your total depravity and sin. You are absolutely correct, we rely on our Father's sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins which is why we keep the Passover which He commanded as a memorial of His Love and sacrifice (Luke 22:7,19-20). Not that the bread and wine have any power but because "HE said" by "His word" it is what we should do for the forgiveness of our sins and eternal life (Mat 26:17-19,26-28)(Jn 6:53-54). @labockj She may have said it wrong but all of the disciples kept Saturday. It wasn't until 321 AD that people abolished Saturday and instituted Sunday. Constantine was a pagan who decided to merge the two. I understand that you were told something different all your life & why would it matter so much. Also look in Hebrews 9:28, it says he MUST come a second time to bring salvation. If he didn't bring it, & only judge who would be saved? Look at Daniel 7:25 Satan will lead people astray. :(
@mebyename Daniel 7:13-14 is talking about the second coming of Jesus NOT the first. look at Daniel 7:4-6 and note the order of the beasts; lion, bear, leopard. Revelation 13:2 note the order again; leopard, bear, lion. Daniel 7:9-10 talks about the end judgement (compare to Revelation 20:4, 12). Daniel Chapter 7 is about the end times and has nothing to do with Jesus's birth in the flesh.
@HaileyStevens10 Daniel CHapter 7 actually has nothing to do with the end of times Hailey. If you look into what Daniel is shown, it says that the fours beast are kingdoms that will arise. The history of CH 7 is the same Ch 2: Babylon, then Media-Persia then Greece then Rome. It speaks of Rome coming to power and then being split into 10 kingdoms. If you look into real history, Rome is the only kingdom that was split into 10 in all of world history. This is about the antiChrist's identity.

There are two laws "The law of Moses and law of Christ", Paul taught against keeping the OT law and adhearing to the teachings of Jesus. Please read (1Cor 9:20-21) Jesus himself said that he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it (as the Passover Lamb and MORE) (see Mt 5:17-19) and so there was a CHANGE in the law (see Heb 7:12).

In the fulfillment He established the New Covenant which changes the law, not abolish (Heb 7:12) Paul who wrote Galatians and Romans also wrote Corinthians and said He was under "Christ's law" (1Cor 9:21) and Paul also wrote that we should keep the Passover (1Cor 5:7-8) We keep it in oedience with gratitude. Salvation is not obtained by acts. You cannot save yourself by partaking in the passover or getting baptized. Salvation is obtained through faith alone in Jesus Christ. If you were the last human being on earth and wanted to go to heaven, who would baptize you? Who would distribute the passover meal? Jesus said do this in remembrance of me. @mebyename Jesus said that he eagerly desired to eat the Passover because that was the purpose of His coming...to fulfill the requirement of the law for us. He paid the debt that we owed, for us. How would we believe if the Bible wasn't written? I think that you would agree, faith is important and the Bible teaches us many things that we need to learn in order to live a life of that faith in Jesus Christ.

@HaileyStevens10 Again, you are correct in writing that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Passover Lamb, which is why He gave His flesh and blood (the bread and wine of Passover) on the very day when the Lamb was supposed to be sacrificed. (Lk 22:7) The next day He was crucified to put the New Covenant into effect much like a modern day "will". A "will = covenant" (see Bible footnote) cannot be put into effect until the one who made that will or covenant has died. Give Thanks to God !!!
If you don't believe the words of Jesus Christ can you really say you have faith?? Why was the passover which he said is the new covenant, the very last thing he did before he died if it wasn't vital to our salvation? @mebyename The passover meal was a representation for what Jesus was about to do for us on the cross. He gave his flesh and blood, replaced the sacrificial lamb. Accepting that sacrifice is what is vital to our salvation. If you feel sharing bread and wine at a table is what saves you, then continue your passover meals. The meal was not nearly as important as the sacrifice, which is what you should be more concerned about.I accepted Jesus, God will not reject me for not participating in passover
The main difference between WMSCOG and true believers is that we worship a risen savior, and you worship a woman and a dead man. We'll never see eye to eye. We have different gods. The difference between Christians and cult members is that Christians follow Christ and cult members follow humans. The Mormons have Joseph Smith. The Adventists have Ellen G. White. Jehovah's Witnesses have Charles Russell. The World Mission Society have Ahnsahnghong. The Moonies have Rev Sun Myung (who also claims to be Christ). Christians accept the Bible in its entirety while cult members hang on select verses that they take out of context and twist them to deceive others.

@labockj I believe that ysquire is referring to Galatians saying that the New Jerusalem is compared to Sarah who was barren before God's promise. In contrast, ZGJ was married, divorced, had children and claims that ASH is her spiritual husband.
@ysquire This is a contrast between the old covenant (Levitical law) and new (Christ's blood). Funny how you skipped verse 23, "But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise." This speaks of our being free from the demands of the law for righteousness, and our coming under the blood of Christ for righteousness. You can distort and take out of context all you like to your own destruction.

For anyone "new" to the Church of God:
Stay in Zion and all of your questions get answered. Unfortunately some have left before learning the perfect, complete truth (John 14:26, 16:13-16) and are turning others away by their own misunderstanding or "traditional" teachings (Mark 7:6-9) which are contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Thank God I've been in the truth over 7 years and had I left for some insignificant doubt, I would have missed out on the "full" blessing.

@labockj - ALL of our beliefs are based on scripture, and we are thankful to Elohim for fulfilling ALL of the prophecies so that we may be assured we are the truth, the light of God. We continue to have hope not only for our salvation, but also for yours. Our prayer is for "you" to be included in His salvation work. I have hope because apostle Paul also persecuted the truth 2000 years ago, yet through God's grace and mercy, he became the great gospel worker.

@labockj - The Gospel of Jesus and COG are the same. We are unworthy sinners and are only doing our duty (Lk 17:10) (Mt 28:18-20) as God has commanded us. (Ezek 2:7) You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. Please remember God's "salvation" work is not finished yet. Revelations includes future prophecies to be fulfilled "after" the time of Jesus. We must receive the hidden manna and the new name (Rev 2:17, 3:11-13) not reject it. GBU!

Who tells us in scripture, He is the Holy Spirit who comes to us to remind us of His teachings, give us hidden manna and His "new name" in the last days (Jn 14:26) (Rev 2:17, 3:11-13) . Along with His Bride, the New Jerusalem Our Heavenly Mother they give us the water of life (eternal life) (Rev 21:9-10) (Gal 4:26) (Rev 22:17). I would just like to clarify so no one is confused. When I included verse (Jn 4:25) below, I used it to refer to the words "Come, see a man... Could this be the Christ?" In these last days, PLEASE study the second coming prophecies with your nearest Church of God (WMS) and see for yourselves. Apostle Paul reasoned from the scriptures (Acts 17:2) and (Acts 17:11) ...they received the message with eagerness and examined the scriptures to see if what Paul was saying was true! ~ God Bless You All.

@labockj - The Bible doesn't say "Saturday", it says 7th day. From creation God blessed this day (Gen 2:3) and made it for us (Mk 2:27) so that we may know God who makes us holy (Ex 31:13) It is a prophecy of rest for God's people to be fulfilled in the last days. (Heb 4:9-11) The names of the days of the week were given by man. Please research "week", "calendar", etc. We also pray and worship God everyday, but we keep the Sabbath (7th) day differently as God has commanded. We Love You, GBU!

Our mission is to preach to all, and find those willing to do God's will in these last days. Jesus worked on the Sabbath Day and those who do the true gospel work in the NT are called a "Royal Priesthood" (see 1Pet 2:9) By the way, didn't the Priest of God work on the Sabbath in the OT? @AMDU2B My focus on the OT law is to show you your need for the Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Psalms say, "The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul." You need to realize that the law is too high to attain. When you look at the Law, it should reveal your total depravity and sin. Then when you see you can not be saved by keeping the law, you should turn to Jesus Christ who kept the law for you and died to take the punishment you deserve for breaking the law

You are absolutely correct, we rely on our Father's sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins which is why we keep the Passover which He commanded as a memorial of His Love and sacrifice (Luke 22:7,19-20). Not that the bread and wine have any power but because "HE said" by "His word" it is what we should do for the forgiveness of our sins and eternal life (Mat 26:17-19,26-28)(Jn 6:53-54). From that time we are being made holy through the Law of Christ. (Mt 28:19-20)(1Cor 9:21-23) GBY.

@labockj She may have said it wrong but all of the disciples kept Saturday. It wasn't until 321 AD that people abolished Saturday and instituted Sunday. Constantine was a pagan who decided to merge the two. I understand that you were told something different all your life & why would it matter so much. When Jesus Himself told the apostles when He would return in Matthew 24 he said he'd show them the signs of his coming AND of the end of the age. It says when he returns, you'll know exactly when, when he comes to judge, no one knows the day. Look how Jesus was prophesied to appear in Daniel 7:13-14. Also look in Hebrews 9:28, it says he MUST come a second time to bring salvation. If he didn't bring it, & only judge who would be saved? Look at Daniel 7:25 Satan will lead people astray. :(

@mebyename Daniel 7:13-14 is talking about the second coming of Jesus NOT the first. look at Daniel 7:4-6 and note the order of the beasts; lion, bear, leopard. Revelation 13:2 note the order again; leopard, bear, lion. Daniel 7:9-10 talks about the end judgement (compare to Revelation 20:4, 12). Daniel Chapter 7 is about the end times and has nothing to do with Jesus's birth in the flesh.

The history of CH 7 is the same Ch 2: Babylon, then Media-Persia then Greece then Rome. It speaks of Rome coming to power and then being split into 10 kingdoms. If you look into real history, Rome is the only kingdom that was split into 10 in all of world history. This is about the antiChrist's identity.

@HaileyStevens10 I said the history is the same, not that there are beasts. The four metals of the king's dream represented kingdoms (same as the beasts) First Babylon and so on. Now it say's He's coming in fiery vengance on all His enemies, and people are trying to portray Him as a peacemaker. There are two laws "The law of Moses and law of Christ", Paul taught against keeping the OT law and adhearing to the teachings of Jesus. Please read (1Cor 9:20-21) Jesus himself said that he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it (as the Passover Lamb and MORE) (see Mt 5:17-19) and so there was a CHANGE in the law (see Heb 7:12).

Jesus himself said he did NOT come to abolish but to fulfill. In the fulfillment He established the New Covenant which changes the law, not abolish (Heb 7:12) Paul who wrote Galatians and Romans also wrote Corinthians and said He was under "Christ's law" (1Cor 9:21) and Paul also wrote that we should keep the Passover (1Cor 5:7-8) We keep it in oedience with gratitude. Salvation is not obtained by acts. You cannot save yourself by partaking in the passover or getting baptized. Salvation is obtained through faith alone in Jesus Christ. If you were the last human being on earth and wanted to go to heaven, who would baptize you? Who would distribute the passover meal? Jesus said do this in remembrance of me. @HaileyStevens10 Why do you think he said he EAGERLY desired to eat passover? Look in Hebrews 9:16-17 Jesus was making out his will written in his blood. The effect is only good after his death. Think about this though, why would it be written if it weren't important. If all you need to do is say I BELIEVE and you are saved, why was the rest of the bible written? It was to teach us about why He came & how 2CC will come. If you can, believe Jesus's words in Rev CH2 & 3 - He said it himself.

@mebyename Jesus said that he eagerly desired to eat the Passover because that was the purpose of His coming...to fulfill the requirement of the law for us. He paid the debt that we owed, for us. How would we believe if the Bible wasn't written? I think that you would agree, faith is important and the Bible teaches us many things that we need to learn in order to live a life of that faith in Jesus Christ.

@HaileyStevens10 Again, you are correct in writing that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Passover Lamb, which is why He gave His flesh and blood (the bread and wine of Passover) on the very day when the Lamb was supposed to be sacrificed. (Lk 22:7) The next day He was crucified to put the New Covenant into effect much like a modern day "will". A "will = covenant" (see Bible footnote) cannot be put into effect until the one who made that will or covenant has died. Give Thanks to God !!!

@mebyename The passover meal was a representation for what Jesus was about to do for us on the cross. He gave his flesh and blood, replaced the sacrificial lamb. Accepting that sacrifice is what is vital to our salvation. If you feel sharing bread and wine at a table is what saves you, then continue your passover meals. The meal was not nearly as important as the sacrifice, which is what you should be more concerned about.I accepted Jesus, God will not reject me for not participating in passover

The difference between Christians and cult members is that Christians follow Christ and cult members follow humans. The Mormons have Joseph Smith. The Adventists have Ellen G. White. Jehovah's Witnesses have Charles Russell. The World Mission Society have Ahnsahnghong. The Moonies have Rev Sun Myung (who also claims to be Christ). The mother it talks about has no children spiritually, physically, and without a husband. The Church of God's mother had a husband, kids, and supposedly a spiritual husban. Disprove that!

@labockj I believe that ysquire is referring to Galatians saying that the New Jerusalem is compared to Sarah who was barren before God's promise. In contrast, ZGJ was married, divorced, had children and claims that ASH is her spiritual husband.

@ysquire This is a contrast between the old covenant (Levitical law) and new (Christ's blood). Funny how you skipped verse 23, "But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise." This speaks of our being free from the demands of the law for righteousness, and our coming under the blood of Christ for righteousness. You can distort and take out of context all you like to your own destruction.

To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law.

ASH wrote a book debunking the idea of a "mother god" after a woman he was involved in named UmSooIn claimed that she was the "mother god". He said she was delusional and psychotic. That means that ZGJ is also delusional and psychotic.
The WMSCOG is quite dishonest on their application for tax exempt status.

@HaileyStevens10 - Again, you are correct John 1:1-14 refers to Jesus. However let's learn from the mistakes made in the past for it is all written to teach us (Rom 15:4). What has been, will be again (Ecc 1:9) The Bible "DOES" say Christ will come again, when He comes He will have a New Name (Rev 3:11-13) Let's NOT make the same mistake in NOT accepting the NAME God gives us for salvation at each appointed time (Acts 4:12-20) They rejected the name Jesus. Never again will he leave it. ...and I will also write on him MY NEW NAME. What name should we use for our saviour? "Jesus" or the NEW NAME HE GIVES US? @HaileyStevens10 You are right in writing that Phi 2:8 refers to Jesus. But also, Jesus comes back in the last days with a New Name (Rev 3:11-13) and fulfills ALL of the second coming prophecies. He comes back in the clouds (which means flesh) in human likeness (which is why I included this verse) The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are ONE. If you study this in the Church of God (WMS) and accept what the Bible says you will understand and be blessed by God's grace. AhnSahngHong is Jesus. GBY !!!

God came in appearance as a Jew, and as a Korean (Not Chinese) w/ a NEW NAME as prophesied in scripture. Jesus said "Mat 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," ONLY THREE NAMES, not "new Jerusalem" or "the Amen", in Rev 3:11-13 He said He would give us His New Name, not names... Our God is NOT Chinese and The Bible does testify about Our Heavenly Mother. GBY!
