@durianriders I'm currently stuck in a part of the US where it is kind of difficult to get my hands on this much organic fruit. I eat a fair amount of fruit, but nowhere near your territory. With such a high fruit content diet, do you get all the nutrients you need? Protein, fiber, etc? Also, how many different ways do you prepare them so you don't just get disgusted with the taste/texture. I would really like to try this, i'm just worried about feasibility. Sorry if these are dumb questions.
@TheReptilianBrain I think the key thing is that you need to be consuming raw food. you can have vegetables as well, but eat them raw. You get enough protein. protein is made up of amino acids. fruit/veggies have a small bit of protein but are packed with amino acids. Amino acids are how your body creates protein in your body. IT's much more efficient to eat the acids straight than to eat protein and then burden your body with breaking it down to acids and then making protein!

I'm curious why you choose to eat more bananas then any other fruit? I have been trying to eat vegies and fruits for a cleansing diet, but cauliflower and broccoli give me stomachaches, I have never had problems with fruit, I eat more of that then any other food, because I just naturally like it!
@Catehint bananas have more calories per gram than most fruits. if you're only going to eat fruit (mostly) then you need to make sure you eat enough calories. choosing calorie dense fruits is key.

I tried a similar diet a while ago and got some kind of infection in my pelvis, colon area and noone ever figured out what it was. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital on some heavy antibiotics. I'm still scared of diets.
@freelea just to let u know that after a year and one month of menopause, I have reversed it on a higher fruit diet (I had been on a high fat high raw diet before and it didn't feel right). I have more energy clearer eyes and flatter stomach. Feels amazing....;) tysvm
But the thing is ... if i would try this i would have to live off bananas, dates and perhabs mangos only.. cause everything else is so expensive, maby some oragnges but no melons or anything like that, it costs so much.. and what about christmas? do you just eat fruit? :S when your family eats the christmas meal?

Eating food becomes more about what is easy and will feed me what my body needs. Mostly fruit because of ease. Some sprouted/germinated nuts and seeds, and a few avocados as well. Buy what is in season for better health and savings. As for family meals. You eat differently then them until they keep seeing you get healthier and happier, they join then. GL

@TheRawPanda Well.. to put it simply, the sugar content. I don't think simple sugars are a good way to get the majority of your daily calories.. Also, fructose is hard on the liver. Check out sugarstacks . com, it shows how much sugar is in each fruit. I would rather get most of my calories from fats protein and complex carbs. I do think fruit is good for you, but too much sugar is bad. A balance would be nice.
@ellipticality What Freelee has done is turn on her body. The fruits that she eats will enzamatically digest. All fruit sugars are beneficial to the body because they are whole and live and raw. When sugar is processed its deadly and has no value to the body to turn it on. Instead it poisons the liver and kidneys. . Anyone can do what she has done... I know because I am one of them. This body transformation isn't really that dramatic. She was a cute chubby girl who lost some weight and became a hot girl, go figure, noting miraculous there. She could have done the same successfully with a healthy omnivorous diet. If you want to see dramatic body transformations check out bodybuilding websites where people have lost HUNDREDS of pounds with healthy omnivorous diets, not this eating 11 bananas a day stuff.
@Simple5005 Omnivores, all diets I've seen, and I've seen pert near all, achieve weight loss via calorie restriction, which implies a sacrifice. I don't have to restrict calories at all, in fact I eat as much of raw fruits and veggies as I can and I never put on a single ounce of fat. I often eat more than 4000 calories per day, eat any time I want, as much as I want. Raw vegan is not a diet of deprivation, restriction and cruelty, but rather a diet of fulfillment, abundance and compassion.
@FathomlessJoy It is a proven fact that you can only lose weight if you restrict your caloric intake so that you are in a deficit. Likewise, you can only gain weight if you eat a surplus of calories. In relation to fat gain/loss, a calorie is a calorie, plain and simple. If you consume more calories then your body requires from veggies/fruits then you WILL gain FAT, just as you would if you ate too much food with an omnivorous diet.
@FathomlessJoy So what I'm saying is that if you want to lose some weight, buddy, you have to restrict calories regardless of what kind of diet your on, check with your doctor on that one. It has been said that the average adult male requires 2000 calories a day to maintain body weight, females, I don't know how much but it's less than males (females generally require less calories). You're telling me that you can consume twice the calories as the average adult male in a day and not gain fat?

If I had a dime for every thing doctors do not know about nutrition and its impact on health and well-being, I would be rolling in bananas, which I eat at least 7 per day. How does your body fuel itself, with all of it's processes and movements throughout the day, ie. blood circulation, powering your brain, respiration, digestion. Your body requires a certain amount of calories per day to do all of that stuff, 2000 calories for the average adult male. If an average adult male were to consume 4000 calories from veggies/fruits like you said you did, where would the extra calories go?

Check out something new; learn something today; don't go another typical day arguring against something you know nothing about. I ate a good variety of foods today as well but obviously omnivores still have a wider variety of foods and methods to prepare those foods than raw vegans. I should have stated that I'm talking pro NATURAL bodybuilders. I'm going to remain typical because I'm building muscle and I like to stick to what works and not have to eat 1394558 bananas a day to get the needed calories.

It is great that you are on a raw vegan diet. I am too. But I think you should be eating more vegetables. They have less sugar and more protein and micro-nutrients than fruit, so you will be getting a better result with less food. Also you are starting to look anorexic, so you need to add more protein to your diet. Please forgive me for saying this but I am saying it because I truly want to help you. As to more veggies, to be honest I eat more veggies than fruit: maybe 40% veggies, 30% fruit, 30% nuts, beans, seeds, berries, etc. I love veggies too much to go all raw fruit, tho the energy in raw fruit is unsurpased.
Great work if I can even call it that and props for the ride that must have been amazing. I am waiting till I stop breatfeeding to become 100 procent raw. My son is almost one. You might be thinking excuses but really dont want the milk to be poisoned with all the toxens that will be released. So for now introducing more raw foods to my whole food vegan diet.
@summergiles Me too! I do 75% raw fruit every other week. Those raw fruit days are fantastic, the energy is awesome; I don't do any coffee or caffeine and still I feel wide awake all the time. I still "need" my beans and rice tho, if nothing else to come off the raw high and get a nap or something ;) I know, rawrers will scowl, but I love red beans and rice, and black bean/rice burritos <3 Peace to you.

And that's coming from a former hardcore carnivore. A bad vegetarian/vegan would, however, have the side-effects you mentioned. Thousands of people have lost far more weight than she has and they did it on an omnivorous diet, no problem. In other videos she tells people that she goes and scarfs down 10 bananas for her meals like it's the thing to in order to get healthy and it is just the stupidest diet in the world!!!

@durianriders I'm currently stuck in a part of the US where it is kind of difficult to get my hands on this much organic fruit. I eat a fair amount of fruit, but nowhere near your territory. With such a high fruit content diet, do you get all the nutrients you need? Protein, fiber, etc? Also, how many different ways do you prepare them so you don't just get disgusted with the taste/texture. I would really like to try this, i'm just worried about feasibility. Sorry if these are dumb questions.

@TheReptilianBrain I think the key thing is that you need to be consuming raw food. you can have vegetables as well, but eat them raw. You get enough protein. protein is made up of amino acids. fruit/veggies have a small bit of protein but are packed with amino acids. Amino acids are how your body creates protein in your body. IT's much more efficient to eat the acids straight than to eat protein and then burden your body with breaking it down to acids and then making protein!

I tried a similar diet a while ago and got some kind of infection in my pelvis, colon area and noone ever figured out what it was. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital on some heavy antibiotics. I'm still scared of diets.

Eating food becomes more about what is easy and will feed me what my body needs. Mostly fruit because of ease. Some sprouted/germinated nuts and seeds, and a few avocados as well. Buy what is in season for better health and savings. As for family meals. You eat differently then them until they keep seeing you get healthier and happier, they join then. GL

@TheRawPanda Well.. to put it simply, the sugar content. I don't think simple sugars are a good way to get the majority of your daily calories.. Also, fructose is hard on the liver. Check out sugarstacks . com, it shows how much sugar is in each fruit. I would rather get most of my calories from fats protein and complex carbs. I do think fruit is good for you, but too much sugar is bad. A balance would be nice.

@ellipticality What Freelee has done is turn on her body. The fruits that she eats will enzamatically digest. All fruit sugars are beneficial to the body because they are whole and live and raw. She could have done the same successfully with a healthy omnivorous diet. @Simple5005 Omnivores, all diets I've seen, and I've seen pert near all, achieve weight loss via calorie restriction, which implies a sacrifice. I don't have to restrict calories at all, in fact I eat as much of raw fruits and veggies as I can and I never put on a single ounce of fat. I often eat more than 4000 calories per day, eat any time I want, as much as I want. Raw vegan is not a diet of deprivation, restriction and cruelty, but rather a diet of fulfillment, abundance and compassion.

@FathomlessJoy It is a proven fact that you can only lose weight if you restrict your caloric intake so that you are in a deficit. Likewise, you can only gain weight if you eat a surplus of calories. In relation to fat gain/loss, a calorie is a calorie, plain and simple. If you consume more calories then your body requires from veggies/fruits then you WILL gain FAT, just as you would if you ate too much food with an omnivorous diet.

It has been said that the average adult male requires 2000 calories a day to maintain body weight, females, I don't know how much but it's less than males (females generally require less calories). I argued with you because I know plenty about dieting and I'm getting to know a fair bit about nutrition as well. Just because you had bad luck with your attempt at a omnivorous diet doesn't mean others will too. Omnivorous bodybuilders have all those great thinks you listed too, we just have a much wider variety of foods we can eat and ways to cook them. I've been following this raw food stuff for a while.

I ate a good variety of foods today as well but obviously omnivores still have a wider variety of foods and methods to prepare those foods than raw vegans. I should have stated that I'm talking pro NATURAL bodybuilders. I'm going to remain typical because I'm building muscle and I like to stick to what works and not have to eat 1394558 bananas a day to get the needed calories.

It is great that you are on a raw vegan diet. I am too. But I think you should be eating more vegetables. They have less sugar and more protein and micro-nutrients than fruit, so you will be getting a better result with less food. Also you are starting to look anorexic, so you need to add more protein to your diet. Please forgive me for saying this but I am saying it because I truly want to help you. @summergiles Me too! I do 75% raw fruit every other week. Those raw fruit days are fantastic, the energy is awesome; I don't do any coffee or caffeine and still I feel wide awake all the time. I still "need" my beans and rice tho, if nothing else to come off the raw high and get a nap or something ;) I know, rawrers will scowl, but I love red beans and rice, and black bean/rice burritos <3 Peace to you.

And that's coming from a former hardcore carnivore. A bad vegetarian/vegan would, however, have the side-effects you mentioned. I was in my 30s and men in their early 20s were hitting on me because I was healthy, happy, and very sexy. This is stupid. Rice can make you fat, if you eat too much. What matters are the calories, eating more calories than you burn you get fat. You can eat meat and fat and still lose weight, just control the calories. I lost 17kilos (37,5 pounds), eating 30% of my calories from fat. The ideial amount to maximize my anabolic hormones. Do not eat fat is bad. Read Will Brink, he proves scientifically what he says.
