These are all really generic concepts really. I don't think RAGE will do much new, but hopefully it will do the things it does do better. All it really could be doing at this point is copying many games before it, but make them better.

they've been workin on this before doom 3 was released.... trust me its going to be fuckin awesome.... Fallout 3 and its Predecessors attempted the wasteland idea but never came close to perfection. Id software has one of the best track records in the gaming industry, they are also one of the oldest developers therefore they have a tonne of experience, they are close to the perfection other companies such as Blizzard layed out

both games will be great. cell shading isnt bad, unless its done poorly, which it wont be. they're all kind of the same thing though. quake 4, doom 3, rage etc... the only main difference is the graphics, charachters and landscape. havent seen much gameplay innovation from high graphic games. id rather have it be fun than look good. hell I still play super nintendo on my computer

If u play borderlands and read some reviews you will see it's not a complete game... the single player part it's really poor and not so enjoyable. It tends to bore you quickly. (everything IMHO)

they've been workin on this before doom 3 was released.... trust me its going to be fuckin awesome.... Fallout 3 and its Predecessors attempted the wasteland idea but never came close to perfection. This however looks like it would, it plays smooth, graphics are above average and it looks like its alot of fun.

Id software has one of the best track records in the gaming industry, they are also one of the oldest developers therefore they have a tonne of experience, they are close to the perfection other companies such as Blizzard layed out

With 2-3 good titles? :( In technical terms, yes, you could say that, as their engines started a revolution in gaming. But I wouldn't call a company "close to perfection" when all they're offering is some weapons in your hand, some nice lighted & textured corridors and hundreds of brutal dumb beasts to kill over and over again... What about Half Life, Bioshock, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4 and others? I'd call these games (and their developers) perfect anytime instead of Quake 4 or Doom 3...

Bioshock is made by 2k who made some shit titles including rehashed sports title
Halflife is valves only 1 of 2 creations...... They techincally only made half life and Left 4 dead games in there 11 years of being in the industry.

@KoolJayJ If it means jack shit,i agree with you.Especially on Fallout 3,they tried,it was dam good,but it lacked in my opinion,a lot of the stuff this game has,like vehicles,TRULY nasty lookin' raiders and mutants,and overall the more,bad-ass Mad Max-style...
Fallout 3 was too much of an RPG.
And Borderlands,geesh,never even bought it...
And GODDAMIT do i want the armor and guns the Raiders in this game use. :P

both games will be great. cell shading isnt bad, unless its done poorly, which it wont be. they're all kind of the same thing though. quake 4, doom 3, rage etc... the only main difference is the graphics, charachters and landscape. havent seen much gameplay innovation from high graphic games. id rather have it be fun than look good. hell I still play super nintendo on my computer

I'm not saying it is going to suck cause it's cell shading. But I think rage will be far better. and not only for the graphic look.
If u play borderlands and read some reviews you will see it's not a complete game... the single player part it's really poor and not so enjoyable. It tends to bore you quickly. (everything IMHO)

this has been in development since doom 3 came out, plus guys the fallout series wasnt the first post apocolyptic game out there
also the fallout series is based on a seperate timeline tht was based on 50's morals, this doesnt even involve nuclear weapons in the creation of this world, and tbh it looks more like a first person shooter than a rpg (which all the fallouts even 3 are)

This game has been in development for 5 years, saying it is ripping off fallout 3 would be saying between those 5 years in the making they decided to make it post apocalyptic instead of whatever else it could have been. this and fallout 3 were in development simultaneously, fallout 3 just got out earlier.
