the question is: who profited from the huge price rise of drugs after the drug war?
if you look back, at first the police was dealing yama (yaba) to truck drivers, when the yaba became more widespread everybody and his dog became small time dealers for a quick buck, then some of them climbed the ladder and became wholesalers taking huge profits away from the police ..... the police was more than happy to have a green light to anihilate the competition ...
Thaksin just make a mental image that i used to believe in him but now i know the truth it made me hate him he a bad craftiness man! he cross out he kill by his power regardless of the truth many guiltless persons are a vitim and killed by never adjudge and this is a little bite of his boners...
I support Thaksin's policy. The drug dealers deserved to die. However, the big bosses and main guys still not caught because they are among politicians, military and police officers. A lot of the time police resell the drugs they caught themselves on the street.
And yes, I dont care for the majority of the drug dealers etc who were cleaned up last time, this made Thailand livable for the moment. I teach my 11 & 12 year old daughters the best I can to understand and respect drugs, I dont hide them from the issue, however, I do feel safer to a degree that there are no drug dealers "standing in front of the school" or young school kids 13 and 14yrs dealing drugs "in the school" like there was at the time of the last Chuan Lekphai government...
in 1995 a yaba pill cost 20 baht, 2002 to 2010 the pill price climbed to 150-200 baht .....
makes you wonder.....
