@bestdiogoever Thanks! I've been playing for a little less than 7 years ... will definitely keep doing more, because I love to improv!! (matter of fact, I'm going to do one this week...)
@mlunapiena01 Sorry for asking, but I'm thinking of buying a new cello in a price range of 3500-9000 dollars. Is a 7000 thousand dollar carbon fiber cello, better than a wooden one for the same price? If possible, could you give me your sincere opinion this carbon fiber one?
@bestdiogoever I've played wood cellos that I like better, I've played wood cellos I like worse ... The carbon fiber has very easy action (easy to play), a generally good/consistent sound. It sounds great through an amp (not to mention it's pretty much indestructible!)
The one I play on has a different soundpost & so is slightly less reverberant than normal ... also, they are missing some of the bass frequencies we associate with the cello ... for what I do, this is fine and sometimes helpful
@mlunapiena01 To clarify - slightly less reverberant than the normal CF cello ... some classical players/pros I know like it & some feel it lacks a certain warmth (which comes from the missing bass frequencies) ... visually, it attracts a lot of attention ... Also, it is the easiest thing in the world to tune (the pegs have gears built in) ... I haven't experimented with different strings/bridges, but I love it & would really have trouble imagining myself switching cellos...
Got my cello!

You need to work on that slide up to thumb position, sir. Other than that, a few intonation issues, but nothing too major. Good work.
