  • Not only are these documentarie's educational, but also informative about the dangers of airlines cost-cutting, putting money over safety first.

  • haha cheap indonesian

  • its not planes hull. its planes fuselage!!

  • WENUS

  • Why can't the pilot keep a glass of water for leveling? Why do they always rely on instrument. Common a glass of water isn't affected by weather, electricity or anything at all.

  • @blink625 a glass of water will not work when you are turning because of the centrifugal force, whereas the the inertial reference instrument does because it has rotating parts that maintain momentum

  • @blink625 remember, gravity feels the same to an object or a human, as does acceleration and centrifugal force

  • @blink625 try it in your car, if you use a water-earth gravity instrument, every time you accelerate fast, or take a sharp turn, it will give you a completely misleading reference as to your attitude relative to earth's gravity, you cannot possibly fly a plane based on such wrong attitude, especially on planes the acceleration can be hard to notice and be mistaken as the true gravity.

  • In the military the training is always based on maintaining aircraft control, analyzing the situation (properly), taking care of the problem, and getting the A/C on the ground. I have watched a few of these and I know personally how easy it is to get tunnel vision on the problem, but when it comes down to the basics, it is usually complacency and the ability to first fly the A/C that causes these crashes. I personally don't know how they missed their standby attitude indicator.

  • hahahaha frans wenas...that's a good one

  • they should show this series on flights to entertain the passengers

  • @C0LL1N : Can you imagine the fallout of showing this video as an in-flight "entertainment" video?!

  • @tuckeraxum I was on a Virgin flight from London to Newark in 2000 when they showed the national geographic documentary on the 1972 Olympic hostage crisis / shootout at the airport. It was one of several things you could choose to watch, but it was on repeat and it was the only thing on that didn't suck. I can't imagine that Virgin would show something about terrorism on a flight now, but then again, back then the pilots let us see the 747 flight deck while flying. Different era...

  • Bless the EU

  • Or even some fluffy dice?

  • Wouldn't a basic ship's compass and a spirit level come in handy sometimes?

  • Very poor piloting. The pilots let the airplane take control instead of flying it themselves.

  • Air Crash Investigation Collision over LA

  • The pilots couldn't see the horizon as the plane rotated but shouldn't they have been able to feel it? I mean all the passengers felt it.

  • god this is s0 BAD omg.

  • My dad Is a Captain for Air France, He always tells me that he Is unconfident, even though he have flew for 23 and a half years! These Air Crash Investigation/ Mayday Episodes scare the crap out of me, Even though I Don't see these things occour In my social life every day! So I want to Point out to all Pilot(s) (especially canyoufollowus) I Hope you Have a Successful flight as you fly, May Justice serve you! Thank you! :)

  • Wow, none of the top comments are about Frans, the NTSC investigator. I found the mature people... =O

  • Painting planes brightly won't help if you can't maintain them.

  • @ThreeSevenSpeedway yes sir!

  • watch out when you are traveling with low cost airlines with bad reputation

  • @skylineXpert I like WestJet for a low cost airline

  • surly the first thing you do is take control and correct the back angle. shop worring about the computor and fly the damn plane!

  • Thank God! I flew with this airline and in the same type of aircraft from Bali to Jakarta a month before this incident happened. There were quite a severe turbulence when we were approaching our destination. I was shocked when I read the news! ~.~

  • This serves as good lessons!

  • i'm a student Pilot and this stuff really teaches me allot !!

  • i live in indonesia, and i watch the news about the plane missing in new year. i said to myself : OH MY GOD... i am riding the VERY SAME PLANE ON 21st december 2006 and thank goodness it didn't crash when i'm using it." i have a clock that i won in the return flight that i kept as a memoriam of those who died. *peace*

  • i think i saw my friend

  • I just don't understand how they forgot to say "V2" upon take-off.

  • @ThreeSevenSpeedway

its not necessarily to call it out ,, the airspeed bugs are set , so when engine fire is detected , the check their ASI and see if it bellow that bug ,,, thus that the crew upon take off adjust pitch to maintain V2+10 kts until reaching the engine out acc altitude

For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.

    K-love Inspirational For the Day

  • I'm an Indonesian, and I am very happy that Adam has been grounded. Makes our skies safer without these cheap-skate airliners.

  • BOEING always tries to blame the pilots. American's don't want to take the blame for their shitty planes, especially the 737!

  • @R0ckstar666x WRONG: The report was not by Boeing... It was by Indonesian authorities, with assistance from an NTSB expert. The 737 is the most prolific airliner in the world: 7,000 built & in continuous production from 1967 to the present. It enjoys one of the BEST airliner safety records. It's loss rate has been .02% (2 tenths of 1 %), mostly due to pilot error (as with most crashes). This account is a classic example of that. (pilot error: 70% of the time). No plane can be idiot proof.

  • auto pilot is designed in a way that it will never trigger that warning while flying normally if auto pilot fails your job as a pilot is to fly the plane you have reserve fuel, level off first then figure out where you are WTF its that simple

  • i am watching this right before work. im an air hostess.

  • @msra6lk2 That Doesn't Sound good at all

but I guess youll ave a pair of angel wings watching out for you God Bless

  • @pastorgeorgem Angel wings??? There are millions of flights per year, and accidents are VERY rare. Pilots are far safer in the cockpit, than in their car. Airliners are 16X safer than going by car! That's 1600% safer, so there is no comparison!!! There are over 30,000 deaths on our highways (US), and 3,000,000 to 4,000,000 injuries. Some years there is not a single fatality on airliners. Passengers are safer on an airliner than in their own kitchen or bathroom. Those are the the facts...

  • @jrhunter007 It is My belief That God Has Angels Watching over Us When We are off the Ground or high up in the air So yes There is Always a Pair Of Wings watching over whether flight is safer now than before it is a way for me to Express a compassion for a fellow human being

  • Bear With me Folks I Do Troll But For A different Reason If any Thing i Say Seems Weird or nerdy or too personal Please understand As I Am A believer and DO not Follow What People Call "Christianity" Today i Have A deep Connection With The Great Creator that none Can Shake or Take From me I am Just Sharing my Opinions like many Others If you Take Offense or Have Proof Contrary to what I know then that's Fine But you believe What you Believe Let me Believe What I believe God Bless

  • The other Adam air plane was lucky when they got lost.

  • Poliets all out there this is not the right information what are getting your aircrafft can give you so false information which cost you a majoir lifes you will fall into graves i know its so easy to comment and write but i have fets and gone thorw this and i do understand just think about the inncne ppl sitting bhind

  • BOING satins with there instruction this is commen fault with there instruction til now BOING have saves moe then 3 thousand ppls ppl with my information it could be more faulty radio and you say it is boly tecnology where you can always fix or you say alternative instrution to the reputated polit who could saves those more then 3 thousand ppl bose down burried into grave and bing gose away

  • 737 or a 747 morever a A380 arbus or what ever the aircraft with the ILS aproch and the airfield who is with the ILS aproch my daughter can land with 13 years with ym instruction then boing gets off with

  • a poilot asisting and teaching a reputated poilot hired by the reputated pilot and then you say that out auto pilot make it stall retrive my 13 years old daughter can land a

  • i wish i could question them something which is not beond my imagination but if you have a blody tecnology to save the black box where your company stand for 9 months later how come you cant use that tecnology to retrive the dead bodies who are still shokes and still waiting for the loved someone who might come back and they are still thinking may be one day they will come to know that they will be alive on some iland sick sake dont play with the auto pilot

  • what a disaster could be after 90 days a fisherman foinf the boxes insted of the well equiped and well equiped instuments ships and the airports this shous where we are ???

  • there you go some of the instruction i dont know if someone really agree with me but as i see i am aware of these problems i feel guilty but i am not into this sector anymore the black side (worldwide)aviationcrises(DOTdinstudio(DOT)com/

  • fuckin aviation and the blody boing which is never got traped with any of the charge for anything its a shame i will be posting a link for this you guys need to make some comments you guys pay for these services they run accordign to you not according to there wishes

  • 7 months? I dare not go to Indonesia...

  • now adam air is banded.

  • Amateur pilots

  • they wait until 7 months these are some real basterd people

  • Though I get nightmares about these accidents, I still watch Air Crash Investigations. It's just too interesting and it's beautifully presented.

  • air crash investigations are the best work done by your team. well done and this indicates the professioanl outlook to achieve your aim and goal. i am found of watching these investigations and its quite a learning. although i am not a pilot by profession but i have strong interest on the programme and have liked all the episodes. I believe, THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS BUT INCIDENTS.

  • But why the passengers are screaming, and banking to one side....and the pilots didnt get any clue of what the planes is doing??? this movie makers should better deal with logic facts....i dont assume that the pax really realized whats happend....

  • I'm a pilot, thank God my airline is good .. I love flying !

& i love watching these things because i learn a lot...

  • @canyoufollowus

I hope you crash a beautiful day.

  • @canyoufollowus you are an Omani pilot right.

  • @canyoufollowus what airlane

  • @canyoufollowus Good Going watching these, knowing a pilot has at least seen some air crash investigations is awesome, you might remember them if something horrible goes wrong and save lives :)

  • @Matthewfredrox Thanks man, its better to watch them, its life saving lessons..

  • @canyoufollowus what airline are you working for? just curious

  • @canyoufollowus How long Have you've flew? Because I Know that most experienced pilots rareley crash.

  • @canyoufollowus If you are a pilot , you should know all these not to learn it here...

  • @canyoufollowus As you are a pilot, I have a question for you and may be for other aviation experts & enthusiasts too.

Being in this modern age of high speed and high bandwidth satellite communication Why the data is still stored on on-board CVR FDR and BBs. Why not to stream the data instantly to the ground stations. Also we have Giga Pixel cameras available these days why can't there be miniature camera recording the play body and the surroundings during flight.

    thanks4answer

  • @malikjunaid1 That's a very good question..

We don't stream data instantly to the ground stations because that is not a 100% reliable..

why do we need Giga pixel cameras? They can record the surroundings & the plane body during the flight but it won't help us... the instruments & flight controls available are already more than enough.. Just yesterday one of my engines was on fire .. The instruments automatically gave me a warning & the fire was out...I just continued the flight & all went well

  • @canyoufollowus In a big storm and there is chaos what do you trust?

  • @adam3176 I trust my instruments.

  • Dont trust Small Airplane Company!!!!

  • DID U SEE THAT TAKE OFF? THE PLANE DID NOT GET TO 80 KNOTS THAT FAST,THE ENGINES WERE STILL POWERING UP!!!!!!

  • 08:10.....Airbus AP disengage warning on a 737? lol

  • I always have a feeling that at least one of these are made up.

  • i'm gonna fly tomorrow...i'm so scared

  • its always mantaince tampering with the aircrafts

  • autopilot ftw.....

  • how did you record this?

  • the chineses stuff is always brocken when bought

  • @00Unwanted00 this is relevant ,how?

  • air asia indonesia is the most safest airline in indonesia running

  • @Hyperlinex ngimpi

  • always count on the chinese to fuck it up

  • France Wenis!

  • Piece of crap airline.

  • im starting to think that pilots really dont know how to fly their plane and they rely completely on the autopilot.

  • Lesson: Don't get on a plane in which the Captain's name is Wi"dodo".

  • Comment removed

  • This video features arguably the most stupid pilots EVER.

  • @wxsty It doesn't help when you aren't properly trained by the airline company.

  • All dynamic very similar to the Air France 737 which crashed from Rio (Brazil) to Paris except the main cause of accident.

  • @Kw12345ff just the AF447 was an Airbus A330 and not a B737 as you told..

  • This IS so like Lost (the show) flying into a storm, needing to maintain a heding of 350...

  • @ 15:51, the accident happen near sulawesi but the map on the board is capital map Jakarta... he he he. notice the labels.provinsi banten and the indonesian capital D.K.I Jakarta.

  • Anyone notice that the AP Disconnect Warning they used in this episode is actually the one used on an Airbus?

  • Thank you very much for uploaded.

  • I went to Surabaya 9 months ago. Coincidence. And Susanto is my dad's middle name.

  • I went to Surabaya 9 months ago. Coincidence.

  • So ashamed of this tragedy and deeply condolences for the grieved family. Think twice for the budget airlines, that's for sure...

  • for god sake! put the irs in att mode inside a thunderstorm..is a stupid mistake!!!

  • thanks mate :)

  • I'll bet Adam Air knew damn well the pingers on black boxes go dead after 30 days. They knew the FDR and CVR would prove negligence on their part. They couldn't have cared less about the passengers and their grieving families

  • So why the autopilot wasn't able to correct the over-bank? It had the instruments back when the captain re-engaged it

  • This shit makes you want to never fly again.. at the same time its very interesting and in some ways these people that lose their life are making flying safer for others.. Sad really.

  • Wow!..even the STREETS in Indonesia look Dangerous! Cars, trucks, pedestrians, bicycles, scooters. motorcycles, All over the place with no sense of direction! ....I wouldn't want to WALK in Indonesia...Never mind FLY! ...Street Traffic looks as hazardess as they're planes & pilots!

  • Thank you for the uploads!

  • Oh, and PLEASE don't think that ALL Indonesian planes are bad. There are still many that are not bad.

  • @lovyroxy are you kidding? Many that are not bad? I'm Indonesian and it's been 5 years I never used Indonesian commercial airliners. Even garuda is as good as my dog's shit.

  • Man, I was still 10 years old and I was there at that time. I'm about to go to Bali with my brother (14 y.o) by Garuda air (my parents and my little brother didn't come, but my other family like aunt and uncle, etc., arrived earlier and will pick us at the Bali's airport). When I'm waiting at one of Juanda's gate, suddenly many planes were delayed because of this accident. And that made my scared, REALLY scared, bcause the news is shown at the television in the gate. x_x

  • 24:21 is where im at

  • "Starting to fly like a battleship" is a helpless inexperienced person, that was put in the pilots seat and is a joke. Is the industry kidding?? It's like any intelligent person screaming, OMG the car is pulling left!! Instead of being cool and collective. Maybe it's a tire, the road, conditions etc..But not helpless, thats why we pay these pilots the big bucks!

  • Like a bunch of teenagers flying a plane

  • I think it's easier to replace one part, then loose a whole plane(s)

  • Holy crap, I didn't know a 737 could go that fast.

  • ffs he switched of the IRS you kinda need that for the instruments to work pilot error

  • @superman797 but the IRS is faulty? even the pilot didnt know where he is?

  • @AzureAlkaid was it faulty ?

  • @superman797 for god sake! put the irs in att mode inside a thunderstorm..is a stupid mistake!!!

  • @nimrob Exactly dude i didn't think it was. Im no engineer but as a i have read all the 737 system manuals to know the systems in depth on a 737 i know if you mess around with the IRS it will fuck up bad. ESPECIALLY if the plane isint equipped with GNS.

  • I wanna be on this show :)

  • @ExNihiloJimmy Me too! I want to know about auditions haha

  • I'm flying again in a month, why do I watch these things?

  • @macrent2 Check ''Hudson river'' or ''Flying on empty'' episode.

  • @macrent2 you watch these things as i do, out of human curiosity, i know an ariline stewardess who also watches every episode of ACI :)

  • @macrent2 that's exactly why u shd watch

  • @macrent2

Because these are really good TV shows. I once watched one episode on my laptop in a flight. People around me thought I was crazy.

  • @macrent2 It was nice knowing your dumb ass!! lol

  • Comment removed

  • @macrent2 -- Because of these accidents, airlines and planes are getting ever safer, making them less and less frequent. So, they're reassuring in that regard?

  • @macrent2 As depressing as this documentaries can be, they may provide vital help in you are in a situation.

  • @YoshiHDify Indeed. My uncle and cousin both are pilots for American Airlines, and I fly a lot. We watch this show a lot, but they always reassure me how very rare these situations are. Millions of planes take off and land worldwide, and do so without a scratch on the planes or the passengers. And as long as they've been flying (especially my uncle) they still find these shows very informative.

  • Sad i hope they all died instant..no pain..

  • Wow of all the ACI episodes this is the worst failure of the flight crew I have seen. I think the passengers would have had a better chance having a couple burger jockeys from the local Mcdonalds flying them..

  • There was this one guy that called me a NUT?? I still don't know what that means

  • @EtienneLuu Nut means crazy. Just in case no one told you yet! :)

  • Lots and loads of similariies between Adam Air Flight 574 and Air France Flight 447

  • @EtienneLuu

no, not at all...AF 447 is more similar to Bergenair crash or the other one that had pitot tubes taped

  • Lovin your uploads...thnx m8!!

  • excellent to see a full episode in ONE part.well done, compulsive viewing.

  • they should do an ACI episode on how garuda poisoned and killed minur ans r=the government did fuck all about it....

  • im not a fan of planes but i loev watching ACI, thanks for upload!

  • geee you mean REGULATE industries???? What a bunch of socialists, just getting in the way of business

  • the european has allowed indonesian air to fly to europe a year ago!!!

  • @tflazio

actually no, these guys are filipinos, ATC is chinese, and americans domiciled in canada or USA who played roles in quite a few american movies.

Professionally made shows like this don't just hire actors famous locally; the show is shown worldwide so actors should act without flaw too. So, the criteria is at least to have played in a well-known film/series, even as a background actor.

You may check the cast list from any sites regarding this series.

  • Please don't tell what happens in the description, it just spoils it :I Don't do this in future videos. Thanks

  • ..This show scares me but i love it so much <3

  • oh and thanks @alexandarkotevski for posting this btw..

  • 7 months?!! are you kidding me?! even though it's totally the adam air's fault, what about the government?they too did nothing?? When they finally know where to search for it..

  • adam air is the worst airline in indonesia and the world

  • This series is addictive!

  • DAMN YOU AUTOPILOOOOOOOOOT!!i know its not the autopilot

  • This episode was very intreging. Will defenetly not be flying with Adam Air though....

  • @Danieldude21

40:55 - I dont think you need to worry!!

  • Fucking indonesians refusing to accept blame even though its so damn obvious its their fault. 7 Months?? imagine you're the family of the crash victims and u gotta wait seven fuckin months till the stingy irresponsible bastards finally decide to do what they were Supposed to do in the first place. J fuckin christ~

  • @bucinaus

I know, it seemed like the the indonesian guy was a smoking caffeine-addict. Damn, it was an indonesion-owned plane, they should do the work. The USA built it, so what. It was working fine until the indonesian asshole fucked up the ILS.

  • @737boeing8 an ILS!? soooo when he was enroute at 33000 he was able to pick up an ILS... that makes a shit ton of sense..... good job noob

  • @grulloc

shut up. incorrect maintenance was the cause. ILS helps pilots know where they are. Noob.

  • @737boeing8 yeh, again, an Instrument Landing System is defiantly not able to be picked up at 330000. and an ILS is for landing guidance, not for en route navigation. Good job noob

  • @grulloc

I know, you dipstick. I'm just saying that incorrect maintenance contributed to the crash. Got that?

  • @737boeing8 wrong. ILS helps only in the glide path, dont help in the navigation itself (specially at higher levels). and the right word is NEWBIE, not "noob".

  • i bet they are using either malaysian or singaporean actors!

  • These things happen when you pay money to fly 500 hours and not get paid...this is what Lion Air does now..

  • MY NAME IS ADAM!

  • Scariest Flight I've seen
