A friend of mine lost his dad to a brain tumor- it's a horrible disease like all cancers. I lost my dad to cancer when I was 14. People that fight and survive cancer are the toughest, strongest, and bravest people in the world- who's tougher, Chuck Norris or a cancer survivor- no contest, the cancer survivor. In my book, David Cook is one of the classiest guys!

I think now I understand. I have a philosophy if I may...those who have passed are now 'home'. We are the ones who are 'away'! time is a circle, not linear and we are, at any one time, somewhere on the circle. time does'nt t pass for them so they will see us instantaneously when we pass. much love.

I am so thankful that I found this video when I did. My mom has just been diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time and I have been struggling getting through each day. It couldn't have been easy for David to do the race, but he said he was going to, so he did. He made a promise to help his brother & others, so he did. He wasn't going to back down on that promise. For that honorable & brave act, I commend you David Cook. You are a wonderful brother & sweet soul. Only a soul like David could write a song like Permanent.

I sense when David cancelled his shows a few weeks ago, that he was either told or knew his brother may not make it much longer. I think he prepared himself, but no matter what you are never prepared when it finally happens. My heart goes out for him. He ran this race for his brother. ((((david and family)))) i was so sad when i heard this news :( but hearing this inspired me to woman up and not be a baby and donate blood at the blood drive my school has on wednesday, so hopefully other people will be inspired to help others after hearing this......and i just want to say we should all keep david and his family in our prayers
