@Lifter85 Have never taken a dime of welfsre money in my life. Have always been able to earn my own. But if I ever need a "handout" you better believe I will use it. @Piequalsapple no with socialized care you can easily get turned down.its called rationing. and if obama care keeps going through we will have rationing. guaranteed. unless we raise taxes so much that we all go broke.
@gibblets17 "no with socialized care you can easily get turned down.its called rationing. and if obama care keeps going through we will have rationing. guaranteed. unless we raise taxes so much that we all go broke."
Hello! Britain calling! Socialized healthcare for 62 YEARS. We're still here, and still very much in love with our NHS. In fact it is often said here that when a politician speaks against the NHS, they should write their resignation at the same time.
@labrat1807 whats your average wait time for a few shots or a checkup with your doctor? cause mine is make an appointment for the next morning walk in sit for 10 minutes and then get treated. if its serous enough my doctor will actually let me come right now if need be.
@labrat1807 Depends on who you ask there spanky. First off, Canada's own supreme court found that their socialized health system was unconstitutional as it violated Canadian citizens rights in that it allowed for quite a number of patients to die before ever receiving care. As for the NHS, the UK govt has openly admitted that the complaint system itself is so cumbersome that users have no avenue of protest when needed services are declined.
@labrat1807 Sure we have problems, the NHS is far from perfect. The point I was making is that it is FAR FAR better than a profit based industry like you have. Check out where the US is in the WHO league tables for healthcare. You're 37th, we're 18th. I don't think those stats settle the argument alone, but taken into account with the basic opposition between "profit incentive" and "political incentive", it is indicative that a socialized system benefits the population more than any other.
@labrat1807 You cant speak to right-wingers in our country about anything. They are experts (know-it-alls) about everything. May as well save your breath
@Piequalsapple none. insurance companies only pull in 3% for profit. fact! what happens when the third of Americans who don't pay for anything now need to be covered by the 2 thirds that do. our costs will go up! its simple math. the more people who don't pay for anything receive care the more people who actually do pay will have to pay. i would rather worry about improving our economy so these people can get some jobs and start pulling their own god damn weight.
6 Millions American children (mostly poor blacks) without ANY type of health Care or even access to a doctor. That is OUTRAGEOUS!!!! You Anti Health Bill types are some Bent Ass people with NO Heart!
You White Tea Party assholes could care LESS about the suffering of the poor in African American communities who need a Doctor's care or Medicine to get well. You evil Devils think it is FUNNY that so many poor children have to go without Health Care?
@lamardarren ok so every extra dollar you make that doesn't go towards food and or shelter goes straight to the little children? or wait is it other peoples money that you want to go pay for that. their are thousands of charities that pull in billions for dollars each year. when i give money to the poor it should be of my own choice. not because some crooked fuck on capital hill needs to take his piece of the pie. government is the most inefficient thing in the world.
@Piequalsapple once again, we already have govt healthcare in america and it is a failed system, military personnel can get even turned down after they get a leg blown off. IF you had a mom who didnt spend all day @ a crackhouse she couldve taught you to STFU about things you dont know and countries your have no clue about.
America is a place to come to succeed, where does it state it is a place to come to get helped out? Secondly, you talk about everyone has a right to a lawyer thats to avoid unlawful detainment and secure your right to liberty and freedom. You then talk about if someone is diagnosed with breast cancer America tells them fuck you, that is the most absurd comment you could ever make. There is hundreds of organizations out there to help people out that is publically funded and to expand on that
im a 30 year old male in london and i was diagnosed with parkinsons last december,my point is (especially to the american audience) that the (free) NHS system has looked after me so well pre and post diagnosis, i have access to the best facilities and doctors with all forms of complimentry support from physio, yoga, acupuncture, personal trainer, and of course medication.this has all been free and it's difficult to keep up with my appointments!! i am so glad i dont live in america with parkinsons
@sarpc1 yeah good for you. hows your economy doing? hows your taxes? ow much of your economy is slowly being taken over by the government? sure socialized medicine is great. till you run out of other peoples money to spend. in ten to twenty years you will understand.
Everybody says the final solution to the RACE problem is for EVERY White country and ONLY White countries to bring in the third world and assimilate with them. @SpearMaster actually they do. Moore lies constantly. in all of his documentaries. they banned his video in Cuba because it says all Cubans get this really nice medical care which they don't. the facilities they showed in his documentary where for rich people and politicians. they didn't want the people to see these really nice medical facilities that the higher ups get access too. in bowling for columbine he also lied when he said he bought a gun without filling out any paper work. proven!

Umm.....how did the TEA party movement "open the door" to being called "tea baggers"? Because they said things you don't agree with?
Y'know....its rough being in a particular group of people to be labeled with a particular vulgar and derogatory name because people don't like them. Yeah....its rough. If only there were some level headed people who could empathize with something like that....if only....
@gajda1984 Oh...that explains it....you're simply uneducated. It's okay....I'll set you straight. We don't live in a Democracy. We live in a Representative Republic.
@Aezaux I guess anyone who disagrees with YOU is "uneducated". You are right, we don't live in a democracy, we live in a capitalist system. You nailed it right there.
@gajda1984 Sheer genius! Capitalism is not a form of government. It is an economic model....and thank God for it! I'm guessing from your YouTube handle that you were born in '84. Cool. You know what I was doing in '84? I was living under the constant threat of the socialist countries of the world like the USSR and Red China (USSR stands for the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). Do you know why YOU don't live under that threat? Because SOCIALISM FAILED!!!
@Aezaux It's funny how you compare the current administration with eastern europe it show's your "geniousosity". I don't need a history lesson, bro, all I'm saying is 100% capitalism is bullshit. It just widens the gap between the fortunate and the less fortunate. The top 1% determines our lives and our way of life. Fuck that, you need a little bit of everything to have freedom. You know the second world war could have never been won without "them goddamn commies"!
@Aezaux Yeah you are right, I was born in 84, if it isn't communism it's terrorists, if it isn't terrorists it's liberals. Conservative boneheads always have to hate something foreign to them. I actually experienced the "conservative" revolution of vice president GW Bush and President Dick Cheney. A false war, corporations and gas companies making epic profits and the gap between the poor and the rich the country has seen since the depression, Yeah, that's some real shit if you ask me.
@gajda1984 Ahh....the usual suspects. That "false war" was approved by an act of congress with TRUE bipartisan support, including Hillary Clinton. Al Gore, in '96, condemned President HW Bush for having been too soft on Iraq and Saddam in the first gulf war because that situation represented such a serious concern to American safety.
Gas companies make an average of 3% profit margin on a gallon of gas. The Federal Government makes 16% in taxes on that same gallon. WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE?!?
@Aezaux You know what dude, I'm not playing "mr. democrat" here buddy. I'm just saying look what happens when hard nosed capitalist republicans ran the country for 8 years. I never said Clinton was a perfect president, but our economy sure as hell was bustling compared to it is now. I'm outraged at the rich who cause the gap between the poor and themselves. I'm outraged by the people who think that is okay.
@Aezaux I'm outraged by the fact that someone who is only making 8 bucks an hour to pay for electricity, groceries and rent has to by health insurance. You ain't as smart as you think you are buddy, you ain't fooling no one.
Imagine millions of people... Wal-Mart wage slaves, hospital aides, temps, the millions ejected from the workforce because they were middle-aged and got sick, and the veterans who come home to no jobs. Imagine the 30- to-45,000 who will die prematurely because their lives are not valued in the "free market." Now then...
Imagine trucks blockading the interstate highways. Imagine empty offices everywhere. Imagine cities on fire and proud white robber-barons on their knees.
@MacLeamh It is so very sad that you think those things come from the free market. We have not lived under a completely free market for almost a hundred years. HOW IN THE HELL WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT A FREE MARKET IS OR WHAT IT BRINGS US?!?!? The absolute truth is that the failings in the system now are brought about by government intrusion into that free market. Like it or not....believe it or not. I don't care. Your way of thinking had its day.
I observed some of these teabagger events here in Tennessee (village-idiot conventions, whites only). When the cameras aren't around, these shitwits gather in groups to talk about God and how Obama's an Islamic-terrorist-Communist homosexual foreigner. In short order the conversations are increasingly peppered with "niggers," "Commies," "queers." -- and, of course -- "the Lord." One time, I blew my cover and accused them of idiocy. Turns out I'm a commie and a "nigger-lover."
I still can't believe how uninformed some people are, the man with Parkinson's actually has an engineering doctorate from Cornell. Pretty sure he isn't some lazy bum trying to get a handout, but these tea baggers are just so ignorant. I am wondering when these people are going to start getting their asses kicked?
@CarbonB so if hes such a great guy why is he sitting on the ground like a bumm in front of a bunch of people with a sign announcing whoa is me im sick. help me!!!!
@gibblets17 I didn't say he was a great guy, stop inferring shit with your little brain. Whoa is me? He is exercising his right to protest for what he believes in...my point exactly about you being a misinformed moron.
shouldn't your user name be "youreannoying?" Regardless, you have no idea what brought on his Parkinson's disease. And in what medical journal do you find this link? These people are deplorable, that's undeniable.
Yourannoying your a dumb ass!! Nobody knows for sure what causes parkinsons, plus whats wrong with helping your fellow man? Isnt that what Christ Taught? Carbon Monoxide may cause parkinsons so does that means its your fault for people getting parkinson? I think so maybe you should pay for his treatment
@YourAnnoying My mother had Parkinson's late in life and she was no hippie, I can assure you. You are a total asshole. You should just pray that you never come down with some debilitating disease.
@YourAnnoying My mother had Parkinson's late in life and she was no hippie, I can assure you. You are a total asshole. You should just pray that you never come down with some debilitating disease.
I hope democrats use the video of these guys harassing this poor victim of fate for political gain in November. You know republicant's would use any propaganda they could to get elected. We've got plenty of ammunition in November and now that health care has passed the perception will be that the democrats have got the balls to get anything done. We've finally grown up and are fighting back. The adults are back in charge! Obama RULES!
Teaparty protesters shout racial slur at black congressman.
"Demonstrators outside the U.S. Capitol , angry over the proposed health care bill, shouted "NIGGER" Saturday at U.S. Rep. John Lewis , a Georgia congressman and civil rights icon who was nearly beaten to death during an Alabama march in the 1960s. The protesters also shouted obscenities at other members of theCongressional Black Caucus , lawmakers said."
#1 of 2 - I wonder if the man would have sat down in front of protesters if there had NOT been a camera on the scene? Parkinson's disease is a disorder of the brain that leads to shaking (tremors) and difficulty with walking, movement, and coordination. Interesting - anyone see any shaking. Did he walk over and sit down by himself or did he have help. If he had trouble walking, the crowd would have noticed - His claim to that disease would seem to be questionable. Sorry, I think it's a stunt!
#2 of 2 - The crowds reaction WAS NOT one of vocal skeptism, taunting and rebuke. The fact that a camera to record the scene appeared adds to the perception of fakery. The rest of the crowd appears interested and watch but NOTE that only TWO men taunt the man - Is there any proof that the two men who mocked him in a hateful manner were not liberal plants? Their nastiness makes good theater - Interesting that every pro-healthcare youtube dink got a copy of this video, WITH narration!
Considering my previous posts, you believe that a sick individual, displaying no obvious symptoms, holding a sign that claims he suffers from a disease without the obvious symptoms is suddenly the subject of mocking and ridicule by two blatantly obnoxious persons JUST as a camera records it all and that video is distributed to a horde of anti-conservative, anti-Tea Party, anti-anti-healthcare bill folks and you dont see any self-serving theater in that video and the message it proclaims. B.S.
@GJacksonT Parkinson's isn't just shaking. It affects motor skills, speech, and other functions. And that's clip in the description isn't even the whole video. To think this is staged is highly ridiculous and full of BS.
@SpearMaster - I con only make a judgement based on what I saw - we are each certainly entitled to our opinions.
I just strikes me as pretty amazing that the incident is filmed, sent to liberal and appears on many, many liberal channels. It's all about making the Tea Party/Conservatives look bad - quite a little show put on by those two - makes the right look real heartless - If the guy is for real, trot him out here, Who are the bad boys, who do they belong to? Hummm!
The man with Parkinson's holds advanced degrees and probably worked harder than the idiots mocking him until he got sick. Those people mocking him are heartless and I cannot believe they follow people like Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh like a bunch of blind sheep unable and unwilling to think for themselves.
It's situations like THAT when the words "We the People" are just a crock of bullshit. I hope karma comes back at those assholes (not wishing death on them), so they can know how the fuck it feels like to not be able to afford and have the right to something that will help their wellbeing. Good video Ron, much love from ReppinNigeria <3.
LMAO how many pages is this health care bill? You're humping Obama's leg and joining the band wagon on pre existing conditions... Now you have a bunch of ignorant yahoo's that don't understand that's about 1 page of the bill.. Have you READ THE BILL????? DO YOU GET THE REST OF IT? PS a hospital CAN NOT Deny you life saving health care and we have 2 forms of government health care already in place. OH wait you're going to say but those don't work..Intelligence does not mean cruel. get educated
Those responsible for mocking a man with Parkinson's Disease are from the organized Right Wing Radical Tea Party Terrorist Group "Americans For Prosperity". They are a Sickening, Dispicable and Vile group with absolutely no morals and regard for anything or anyone other than themselves. There is no depth to which these terrorists will sink to prove and show to All Americans exactly what they stand for. And they have shown their True Colors for us All to see. Vile Human Beings!
I don't think it's just because I am for the current healthcare reform but a lot of the Teabaggers are just plain rude and uncaring. I don't think that Kuchinich flip flopped so much as realized that while he couldn't get what he wanted it was better to get something than nothing.
Just because the guy has Parkinson's disease doesn't mean he is immune to criticism. Like any other person, he has to be willing to be criticized for his views and defend him. People mocked him because he is asking for a handout, not because he is a cripple. Just because someone has Parkinson's doesn't mean they can't be a jerk, he was a jerk.
They were calling him out for demanding a handout from them. One man gave him some money.
Pity doesn't entitle you to shit. Some people think that being weak, stupid, or handicapped means that they deserve something for free, and they'll use government guns to get it. If I had been there, I would have given the guy my gun and told him to rob me to pay for his treatment. At least then it would have only been a crime against a single person, rather than a crime against the entire population.
@GriffinPilgrim This won't even lead to UHC. It'll just stop insurance companies from dropping people and denying people because of a "pre-existing" condition.
@SpearMaster Unfortunately true. Still, it's a good start. It took forty five years from early reform to the Welfare State over here, Rome wasn't built in a day and all that.
Do you believe that a competitive market would reduce the cost of medicine and healthcare? I do.
For some reason, nobody is talking about WHY the cost of medicine and healthcare is so high. Everyone is familiar with the concept of "Monopoly Prices". Perhaps it's got something to do with the AMA and their monopoly on licensure? Perhaps it's got something to do with prohibiting drugs, so that a person has to pay ridiculous prices in order to see one of the AMA's doctors?
yeah, i saw the clip of that protest on the young turks. those types of those knuckle-draggers can easily find themselves in the same situation or worse. then what are they gonna do? don't they know that "everything gives you cancer"? when they're friends and/or family are suffering from cancer - lung, colon, liver, breast - or alzheimers, tb, etc. they'll change their minds.
Just saw the video it was very disgusting. I am against Obama's so called "reform" cause it isn't real reform it is nothing more then a hand out to the insurance companies. What did you think of Dennis Kucinich flip-flopping? Since I view Dennis as the only true progressive I was very disappointed in seeing him change his vote and not sticking to his principles.
@rohstyles23 I agree. The more and more I think about the reform, it's more like insurance reform. But hopefully this is just a start. Sometimes I wish Dean was President. He wants a single-payer, which I like much more. I knew Kucinich would've gave in eventually, but I appreciate his effort. It's time like this where I wish FDR's Second Bill of Rights was enacted. Too bad he didn't make it to see it.
FDR's second bill of rights was illogical. It is impossible to have a right to a house or a right to an education. Rights only exist out of nature. Rights are things inherent in nature that an individual can exercise without violate the rights of others. Those are the rights to life(self defense), liberty, and property. Forcing someone at the barrel of a gun through government force to provide financially for other's is a violation of one's liberty and property rights(money is property).
This is the Republican party for ya. Angry, white, paranoid know-it-alls who think the whole world is picking on them. They are batshit crazy

MacLeamh 1 year ago

I hope democrats use the video of these guys harassing this poor victim of fate for political gain in November. You know republicant's would use any propaganda they could to get elected. We've got plenty of ammunition in November and now that health care has passed the perception will be that the democrats have got the balls to get anything done. We've finally grown up and are fighting back. The adults are back in charge! Obama RULES!

This just in from Yahoo News:
Article Heading

GJacksonT 1 year ago
#2 of 2 - The crowds reaction WAS NOT one of vocal skeptism, taunting and rebuke. The fact that a camera to record the scene appeared adds to the perception of fakery. The rest of the crowd appears interested and watch but NOTE that only TWO men taunt the man - Is there any proof that the two men who mocked him in a hateful manner were not liberal plants? Their nastiness makes good theater - Interesting that every pro-healthcare youtube dink got a copy of this video, WITH narration!
GJacksonT 1 year ago
@GJacksonT So you think people got together at Representative's Kilroy's district office and acted just for a STUNT!?!?!? PUH-LEASE!
SpearMaster 1 year ago
Considering my previous posts, you believe that a sick individual, displaying no obvious symptoms, holding a sign that claims he suffers from a disease without the obvious symptoms is suddenly the subject of mocking and ridicule by two blatantly obnoxious persons JUST as a camera records it all and that video is distributed to a horde of anti-conservative, anti-Tea Party, anti-anti-healthcare bill folks and you dont see any self-serving theater in that video and the message it proclaims. B.S.
GJacksonT 1 year ago
@GJacksonT Parkinson's isn't just shaking. It affects motor skills, speech, and other functions. And that's clip in the description isn't even the whole video. To think this is staged is highly ridiculous and full of BS.
SpearMaster 1 year ago
@SpearMaster - I con only make a judgement based on what I saw - we are each certainly entitled to our opinions.
I just strikes me as pretty amazing that the incident is filmed, sent to liberal and appears on many, many liberal channels. It's all about making the Tea Party/Conservatives look bad - quite a little show put on by those two - makes the right look real heartless - If the guy is for real, trot him out here, Who are the bad boys, who do they belong to? Hummm!

American History taught me that this country is shady lol I wouldn't live nowhere else but I don't expect no better from Americans.

The man with Parkinson's holds advanced degrees and probably worked harder than the idiots mocking him until he got sick. Those people mocking him are heartless and I cannot believe they follow people like Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh like a bunch of blind sheep unable and unwilling to think for themselves.
dmbsjs 1 year ago
@dmbsjs - I would love to have you provide the man's name and some proof of your claim that the man is really ill.
I would gladly retract and apologize for my speculation that it was a stunt just to create bad media for the Tea Party. I await your response.

It's situations like THAT when the words "We the People" are just a crock of bullshit. I don't think it's just because I am for the current healthcare reform but a lot of the Teabaggers are just plain rude and uncaring. I don't think that Kuchinich flip flopped so much as realized that while he couldn't get what he wanted it was better to get something than nothing.

@DancingRabbit52 I think the same also. I with Kucinich on this though. The federal mandate is ridiculous.

Rothbardian1 1 year ago
@Rothbardian1 How was he being a jerk? They're the ones who threw money at him like he was worthless.

Perhaps it's got something to do with prohibiting drugs, so that a person has to pay ridiculous prices in order to see one of the AMA's doctors?

long time no see, spearmaster!!
yeah, i saw the clip of that protest on the young turks. those types of those knuckle-draggers can easily find themselves in the same situation or worse. then what are they gonna do? don't they know that "everything gives you cancer"? when they're friends and/or family are suffering from cancer - lung, colon, liver, breast - or alzheimers, tb, etc. they'll change their minds.
rebelfrak 1 year ago
Just saw the video it was very disgusting. I am against Obama's so called "reform" cause it isn't real reform it is nothing more then a hand out to the insurance companies. What did you think of Dennis Kucinich flip-flopping? Since I view Dennis as the only true progressive I was very disappointed in seeing him change his vote and not sticking to his principles.
rohstyles23 1 year ago
@rohstyles23 I agree. The more and more I think about the reform, it's more like insurance reform. But hopefully this is just a start. Sometimes I wish Dean was President. He wants a single-payer, which I like much more. I knew Kucinich would've gave in eventually, but I appreciate his effort. It's time like this where I wish FDR's Second Bill of Rights was enacted. Too bad he didn't make it to see it.
SpearMaster 1 year ago
FDR's second bill of rights was illogical. It is impossible to have a right to a house or a right to an education. Rights only exist out of nature. Rights are things inherent in nature that an individual can exercise without violate the rights of others. Those are the rights to life(self defense), liberty, and property. Forcing someone at the barrel of a gun through government force to provide financially for other's is a violation of one's liberty and property rights(money is property).
