  • sadiiiii tu ne asa q kia yarrrr

  • @bombaikababu, this composition is by Ghulam Mohammad, the original music director for Pakeezah who passed away before the movie was completed. Naushad ki ye aukat nahi ki aisi ghazal compose kar dein. He composed the bad songs in Pakeezah - chalo dildar chalo etc. The good stuff - the classical thumris, ghazals etc were composed by Ghulam Mohammad.

  • naseem banu has such a haunting voice, perfect for this movie and for meena kumari's background music. is there anywhere i can find this full song by naseem banu?

  • A great; indeed huge ... huge credit to Mir Taquee Mir for penned down this Ghazal in mid 19th Century. Most Illustrious and enigmatic poet at his time, his fame unparallel to Ghalib; but eclipsed one.

  • @imrank340 Correction ... 18th Century. Instead 19th Century.

  • I wish if they add this ghazal by Mehdi hasan in the movie.

  • A remarkable presentation of Kamal Amrohi. The miserable and in vain Mina Kumari visits her nabour friend and reveals what had happened to her during her train journey. A desire, and longing.......marvelous.This back ground ghazal is terrefic. While viewing this movie "Pakeeza" it is almost impossible for a viewer to remain detached. Classical situation made this ghazal immortal as well.Wah Kamal Sahib you were genious. What a film........one of its kind.......May God bless you. (15th Nov,2010)

  • where can i find this song originally,,, someone please tell me,,, yeh nasha ban kar cha gaya hai dil o dimaag par

  • SuperHit

  • has any body got this ghazal without the filmi dialogues?

  • the singer was Naseem Bano, mother of Saira bano.

  • @AdilShahzad1000 remarkably and most enchanting voice of this femal singer. But I am not sure that the singer is Naseem Banu?

    Can you be 100% sure?

  • @imrank340 100% naseem bano

  • Mena Kumari was a sophisticated and cultured woman besides being an actress. She was a Urdu poet of high standard.

This song was composed by the legendary Naushad and written by a classic Urdu poet Meer Taqi Meer of Delhi. I like to know name of the singer.

  • great upload i love it ,thanx for sharing

  • All your Pakeeza uploads are superb, Ajay. In this one, one can also appreciate afresh what a magnetic screen voice MK had, the most refined among all the old female stars. One can become transfixed by MK's voice alone. Thank you.
