I would say the relays for the call buttons on 6 became stuck, and so the elevator would not move - either that or the relays went crazy like in one of ElevAider's videos

The one at the Lodge of Four Seasons Fitness Center & Raquet Club, in Lake Ozark Missouri. It's a Dover Holeless Hydraulic elevator with 3000 lbs/30 hp, 30 feet/3 floors/100 FPM speed/distance, and it was installed in the early 1980's. It is dilapidated, because the cab is dirty, the floor is scruffed up, the cab fan sounds sick, the door sounds terrible, the lights/ceiling are about to fall out, and the best part is the car station with worn buttons and a really bad floor indicator. Amazing!
