Haiti on boat going to Ile de la Gonave in Haiti

Great - I too always get sea sick , I will have to bring my life vest :) We plan a misison trip to La Ganave soon would like to keep in touch my friend took tents in 8 weeks ago, unfortunately I wasnt able to leave the hospital work in PAP

LOL I'm always the one lying up on the side rail praying for the dramamine to start working! And don't make any smart comments about being a "blan" either because my husband is a native Haitian from La Gonave and he gets sicker than I do!

use life jackets next time...americans do not float so well....

Nobody uses life jackets on those boats. Standards of safety are so different there - you kind of acclimate to it and after a while you don't really notice things like women with newborn babies climbing up in the back of pickup trucks and speeding down the highway. Its just part of being in Haiti...
