  • He deserves an OSCAR for God's sake!! Please make my wish come true tomorrow Dear God #fingerscrossed

  • What a magnificent actor!

  • congrats! Ewan...oh la la

  • the reason so many female blacks get nominated and males don't is becuase they only know how to do yow yow and tease a black actress if she has a sex scene with a white man and at the end won an oscar for it being the first person to do so.

  • he must be like "finally got it".

  • great actor

  • Hey it's Arngeir!

  • oooooook begginers was in 2010.so how did he get 2012 golden globe from it?

  • who the f put him at the back/mid row?! he's an old man and got nominated!

  • @TheMissConstellation They probably thought he wasn't going to win? Well they can suck it now.

  • Love you Christopher ! Bravo your a Class Act, Bravo !

  • Best speech given

  • Now that's how you thank your wife. The slight gasp and aww from the audience said it all. What a gentleman.

  • @Shaindl he should have just said . sorry honey i got a male lover.

  • Photobomb @2:34

  • Christopher Plummer

    Date of Birth

13 December 1929, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

  • This shows us that marriage can work in hollywood if its cemented beforehand. Its not easy but its like no one tries anymore. Though i've never been married my knowledge is lacking somewhat.

  • All nominees are well-deserving

I personally think that Albert Brooks should win

but Christopher Plummer is also very good in Beginners (but honestly he shoulda won like a thousand years ago)

  • Plummer is a legend and deserves an Oscar and every award an actor could win. General Chang and Mr Robinson are my favourite Plummer characters

  • "And lastly, a fair lady called Elaine, my wife of 43 years whose bravery and beauty haunts me still."

I swooned while watching this live, Christopher Plummer is such a romantic. <3

  • @lalala36026 I think there was a collective swoon from all the women in the audience. Some of the men, too.

  • so sweet in Beginners!

  • Notice how Gerard doesn't look at the letter ? He's just there for the fun :D Maybe they both peeked just before coming up but still most people look at it by reflex :D

  • and thank you Mr.Plummer for showing me the way of the voice.

  • FINALLY - Christopher Plummer is one the greatest actors out there. He deserves the Cecille B DeMille and so much more! I admire him so!

  • captain von trapp- phwaorr!!!!!

  • It's so nice he was able to win one, he's a terrific actor!

  • A true legend of Cinema! Dignified and insightful as always

  • I love his moive "The Sound of Music" in 1965.

  • he just sounds british because he's old and dignified.

  • @BobbyD167 He sounds British because he lived for 20 years in Britain. I count him as an honorary Brit :-)

  • Yes, just learned that. That's me told. Groan.

  • He's not a Brit. Christopher Plummer is Canadian.

  • The Brits do these speeches so well

  • So well deserved! :)

  • That was a wonderful speech. I'm so glad he won :)
