I think it's cool that players who have not pre-ordered the game will still be able to use the bat, if they are playing with someone who has pre-ordered. That's also the reason why the bat is not part of the Club Dead achievement.

Baseball bat can be recieved by people who pre-ordered on steam, which is not possible anymore. You can have access to the baseball bat if you play with a player who has pre-ordered the game - eg. me.

when you login to your xbox live account, start to play left 4 dead 2. Then once you get to the main lobby thing for the game hit the middle xbox button on your controller and go to marketplace i think is what it's under. Then it should say redeem code at the bottom!
