For some reason, aforesaid someone just has a difficult time actually applying/living the life they know they should be. The problem of Revelations is it refers to a time that has already happened. There will be no end of the world, humanity may do something really stupid and wipe themselves out but the earth will go on and a new species of animal will replace humanity, much in the same way as the mammals did with the dinosaurs.
@mabon2010 Actually no its hasn't already happened. The problem with that idea is that some of the things stated in revelations didn't exist up until now. Remember the giant locusts? Remember the other assorted "beasts"? That's our weaponry of today.
The problem with symbolic prophecies like Revelations and Nostradamus is that people will see what they want to see in them. Christians for the last 2000 years have been making predictions based on Revelations for their own era.

Evolution's core is about survival of the fittest and natural selection, right? Right. Why would the bird continue to evolve something that is useless? It is placed at a disadvantage.
Natural selection is a random event in evolution which will throw up traits that are to the advantage and disadvantage of species. Through natural competition those at a disadvantage will be eliminated and those with advantage will survive. Your example confirms evolution works. You are right, the life on Mars theory is still only theory, although evidence suggest the chances are high there could be life there. We will need to wait until the next wave of Mars probes can look into the mystery more.

well, according to Matthew chapter 11 verse 14, Jesus said refering to John " And if you receive it, this IS Elijah, which was for to come." Remember John the baptist was born with the spirit, but I believe he also had his own personality, and that is evident in the fact that he wasn't sure if Jesus was the Christ, when he was in prison.
Well, when I read the entire Chapter 11 I see that Jesus is saying that no man on Earth was greater then John as of yet, but those in Heaven, the least in Heaven was greater still. I think that verse is saying the John took the mantel of Elijah as Elisha did after Elijah was taken up. Maybe he is saying that John is as great as Elijah should have been.

The problem of Revelations is it refers to a time that has already happened. There will be no end of the world, humanity may do something really stupid and wipe themselves out but the earth will go on and a new species of animal will replace humanity, much in the same way as the mammals did with the dinosaurs.

@mabon2010 1) Speculation? Not really, if you really believe in evolution, lets talk about something. Birds. Birds are a perfect example of why evolution is false. Evolution's core is about survival of the fittest and natural selection, right? Right. Well, the wing stub that they started to develop did not make the bird more adaptable to its environment, the wing was too small for the bird to fly. Why would the bird continue to evolve something that is useless? It is placed at a disadvantage.

Natural selection is a random event in evolution which will throw up traits that are to the advantage and disadvantage of species. Through natural competition those at a disadvantage will be eliminated and those with advantage will survive. Your example confirms evolution works. The key word here is "gravity" which gives our galaxy form. Until our galaxy comes into contact with the gravity of another galaxy then no doubt this form will continue.
Mars used to have life but it was unlucky so life died out. Life on Earth only has a certain time limit before the sun expands and destroys it. I am unsure what you are getting at.

My point is that time cannot create life. God has left many fingerprints of his detail in the way he created the universe. You are right, the life on Mars theory is still only theory, although evidence suggest the chances are high there could be life there. We will need to wait until the next wave of Mars probes can look into the mystery more.

No, Elijah never died he just went away on a firey chariot. There is another person who never died in the Bible, but I can't remember his name. I think they are it, but what you are talking about is reincarnation which is not true to the Christian belief. The holy spirit is what gives us our ability though, and faith is what makes the holy spirit strong in us.

well, according to Matthew chapter 11 verse 14, Jesus said refering to John " And if you receive it, this IS Elijah, which was for to come." Remember John the baptist was born with the spirit, but I believe he also had his own personality, and that is evident in the fact that he wasn't sure if Jesus was the Christ, when he was in prison.

Well, when I read the entire Chapter 11 I see that Jesus is saying that no man on Earth was greater then John as of yet, but those in Heaven, the least in Heaven was greater still. I think that verse is saying the John took the mantel of Elijah as Elisha did after Elijah was taken up. Maybe he is saying that John is as great as Elijah should have been.
