i hve had this phone for 2 yrs now and it has been rlly good. the texting is just fine and you can listen to music while you are doing smething else. it only froze up on me once and i had a problem where my text messages werent coming in but it was fixed within 2 weeks. i love this phone and it is very dependable =)

Verizon requires a data plan for multimedia phones. For sure you'll need it added to the account when you sign up (upgrade phones) but you might be able to remove this feature after a month or so.
