Hockey was better in the Checkerdome, the Forum, the Chicago Stadium, et al; now we're forever stuck with "commercial" arenas. Besides; the NHL is so watered down with too many teams noone really gives a shit about the greedy players and owners. Gary Bettman sucks huge rod; he is driving the NHL into oblivion.
Charles was great. the sound quality coulda been a bit better and couldntreally hear the organ. i guess the camera wasnt the best. all in all a fairly good recording

Thats what happens when an ownership completely dismantles a team. You really expect someone to pay $45 for each seat when the owners sell off the team's top and most well known players in order to better position themselves for a sale? I run I pizza place, I'm raising my prices, but at the same time, I and you know, my pizza isn't as good as it was last year. Fuck Laury. Checketts and Davidson REPRESENT what the Blues are about.
That's good, but it can't touch Wayne Messmer singing the anthem in old Chicago Stadium. I just hope I live long enough to once again care about the Hawks-Blues rivalry.
Charles Glenn is awesome, and I am VERY glad they finally stopped playing the stupid organ with the soloist. When you have a great singer like Charles performing the anthem, you don't need a damn organ keeping him on track and detracting from his wonderful performance.
They also still do it at Dodger Stadium with the best stadium organist of them all , Nancy Bea at the organ . But I am a SF Giants fan and I hate the piped in music at their ballpark and the National Anthem is done without accompaniement . San Francisco is so liberal , that they are thinking of not having the anthem played or Pledge of Alligence said there any longer .

How quiet is it!? Im from the uk and visit Chicago alot for the hockey at the UC and it is quiet in St.louis is'nt it! If you close your eyes and just listen to the gentlemen singing you would think he was doing a pre-game rehersal in an empty arena!!! Hawks fans are AWESOME!

That sucks! I think organ music is a perfect accompaniement to the national anthem.
Then again, they still do it in... CHICAGO.
Overall, I think fans should demand organists at their teams' hockey arenas. You're going to a hockey game, not a bar or night club!
