Eu acabei de comprar um Bengal, ele vem amanhã pra minha casa e hj eu mandei instalar redes em todas as janelas e na sacada aqui de casa... mas fiquei pensando justamente nisso que mesmo com redes (instalei a de 5cm, bem fechada) um gato, principalmente filhote, passa tranquilamente e pior, acho que a tela ate incita que eles pulem e se agarrem nela... o jeito vai ser janelas fechadas por um bom tempo, ate que ele fique grande o suficiente pra n ter perigo

Eu ia castrar o JJ para ele ficar + calmo e não ter tanta vontade de fugir, como sugerido pelos vets... ele ia completar 6 meses e a castração já estava marcada. Espero que o seu Bengal seja + tranquilo, porque alguns gostam de escalar as redes de proteção.

O meu bengal, nos o batizamos de Raj, agora esta com 3 meses mas ja foi castrado. Vai fazer 1 mes que ele esta conosco e só agora conseguimos finalmente deixá-lo solto com o Nemo (que eh um dachshund e muito afoito). Na verdade foi sexta-feira a primeira vez que aconteceu o "encontro" e ate fiz um video E sim, mesmo com a rede, estou tomando muito cuidado, eles são fogo!

We have protection on all our windows, but Joey managed to escape and fell off from the 12th floor and didn´t resist. When my hushand got to he ground floor to help him he was gone...

I know that this was a long time a go But I am so sorry about Joey the cat. It reminds me about the death of my last cat, newton whom I grew up with - she managed to live till 22 year of age. But died of kidney failure and had to put down. I have never heard of an accident with a cat falling out of a window like this before. Poxa eu sinto muitíssimo pelo que aconteceu com o Joey. Eu perdi uma gatinha tb, ano passado. Eu moro em casa então ela tinha acesso à rua, o que não seria problema pq moro em um condomínio em que os carros andam muito devagar, mas a Maki era muito selvagem e resolveu perseguir um gambá, que saiu do condoínio. Lá fora os carros não vão nada devagar ela não teve chance... Se foi com 9 meses. Por isso decidi ter cachorro. =/

I'm not familiar with the breed, but guess that tolerance is not typical of a Whippet reaction to such silliness!

Deepest condolences. I once lost a cat in the same way when i lived in Canada.. fell from the 12th floor. I guess no matter how careful we try, sometimes its just fate. I now live in London, UK and got myself a beautiful kitten but I live on the ground floor but still worry all the time about him.
