I think listening to ANY artist constantly for a month is a great way to develop a deep and abiding hatred for that artist. I'm not sure I'd even be able to cope with that for my favorite artists, much less one that I'm predisposed to dislike.

Result: Now my roommate can't stand Kate's voice and indirectly threatened me never to play any of her songs near him again.
And I wasn't nearly listening to them 24h/a day. (+Kate is "a bit" better than Bieber)

Personally, I suspect that if you manage to stick through the first week, the music will simply become background noise. At the end of the month, you might find that you require the constant noise to be able to focus on anything else.
Honestly man, I'm not saying you should bitch out of this month idea of yours, but one thing you should be careful of is hearing loss. Even if you play the music only moderately loud, I'm pretty sure that an entire month of constant noise like that could do you some serious damage. Be careful.
It's definitely a bad idea to have the music playing during your court date. I'm sure everyone would prefer you had your full attention on your court dealings. Other than that, I see nothing wrong with listening to it while you're having sex... it may set the mood, or may help you like it more. haha. Though being that close to another person, they'd likely be able to hear it too, which would break your subjection rule.

Basically I do the same all day, listening to new music (new for me), full discographies during work, on the street and at home. I haven't tried Justin Bieber though, but these plastic artists like Amanda Lear or Lady GaGa got me... I want nobody to experience what I did. : (

There are three kinds of people: the good, the bad and the artists. The Artists have to experiment what the other won't, just to test human limits. Even if it's something as listening to Bieber for 30 days, it is still a way to test our limits, like in the documentary "Super Size Me". It could be any other band/singer, chosing Bieber it 's just to make it even harder.

Why the rules about no random? And why have it so constant? Isn't the idea to find out whether you might actually like it? I think you are setting yourself up for hating it. If you allowed yourself to put it on random and had some daily quota (like at least 8 hours per day) you might actually come out enjoying it (I dunno, I haven't heard it either) but I think you're likely to wind up hating *any* 4 CDs you listen to constantly for that long.

You plan one-eared listening. Consider which ear to use. Every time I hear Bieber, I think "Oh yeah. That's some guy everyone's going on about." Then, I promptly forget. The only thing I really know about him is that James Earl Jones read the lyrics to one of his songs. I don't know if I've heard any of his songs, but those lyrics didn't ring any bells.

Some people really take this Justin Bieber thing a little too far. All its doing is making his star rise. Seems silly to me to contribute to the rise of something I dislike. Can't even go to a webcomic now without Justin Bieber crap standing tall. Kid is doing well for himself.

Personally, I suspect that if you manage to stick through the first week, the music will simply become background noise. At the end of the month, you might find that you require the constant noise to be able to focus on anything else.

Honestly man, I'm not saying you should bitch out of this month idea of yours, but one thing you should be careful of is hearing loss. Even if you play the music only moderately loud, I'm pretty sure that an entire month of constant noise like that could do you some serious damage. Be careful.

It's definitely a bad idea to have the music playing during your court date. I'm sure everyone would prefer you had your full attention on your court dealings. Other than that, I see nothing wrong with listening to it while you're having sex... it may set the mood, or may help you like it more. haha. Though being that close to another person, they'd likely be able to hear it too, which would break your subjection rule.

I don't think you can listen to music the whole day, I know I can't listen to the stuff I like the whole day because I get tired of it. Basically I do the same all day, listening to new music (new for me), full discographies during work, on the street and at home. I haven't tried Justin Bieber though, but these plastic artists like Amanda Lear or Lady GaGa got me... I want nobody to experience what I did. : (

As the father of a 10 yr old girl (which actually IS the target demographic for his "music") I can say that this is not an experiment that will end well for you. I predict "Bieber-Rage" developing. I have a fairly eclectic taste in music and I can't stand Bieber's output. All I can add at this point is: Good Luck!

There are three kinds of people: the good, the bad and the artists. The Artists have to experiment what the other won't, just to test human limits. Even if it's something as listening to Bieber for 30 days, it is still a way to test our limits, like in the documentary "Super Size Me". It could be any other band/singer, chosing Bieber it 's just to make it even harder.

Why the rules about no random? And why have it so constant? Isn't the idea to find out whether you might actually like it? I think you are setting yourself up for hating it. If you allowed yourself to put it on random and had some daily quota (like at least 8 hours per day) you might actually come out enjoying it (I dunno, I haven't heard it either) but I think you're likely to wind up hating *any* 4 CDs you listen to constantly for that long.

You plan one-eared listening. Consider which ear to use. Every time I hear Bieber, I think "Oh yeah. That's some guy everyone's going on about." Then, I promptly forget. The only thing I really know about him is that James Earl Jones read the lyrics to one of his songs. I don't know if I've heard any of his songs, but those lyrics didn't ring any bells.
In any case, have fun with it. It's just some guy with a name people recognize for whatever reason.
