  • @IBANGFORGOD

    ya'll nows it

  • Did he say: "People taking the NyQuil don't know about the alcohol content?" Um, these 2 obviously don't know Dennis Leary. Leary said in a stand up special: "NyQuil is the key it's the 13th fucking step. You can drink it, it's over the counter. Are you drunk? no I have a cold. I've had the same cold for 2 years, can't seem to shake it. I'm high as a kite and my teeth are green, merry fucking xmas!"

  • My Daddy used to take a quart of his shine and put a teaspoon of honey in it to cure our colds. Worked until my little sister Lisa died of pneumonia,. oops come on Daddy defend your sorry ass.

  • @starr522 That's just what they did back in the day. Don't be such a douchebag.

  • Water To Wine, Sugar To Shine!!!

  • @Bandanabandito1 haha hell yeah it basically the same thing lol

  • The last time I got to see him before he passed on , my great aunt had just passed away , even though sad ness was in the air Gilford still made everyone feel the love in their home . I myself live in east tennessee & the times we did get to see him were good times .

  • enjoy the history of true americana and quit with all ur neg thanken'

  • conservativeforlife where is your hometown bucky, new philadelphia, ohio.

  • Nah, they are in NC for sure. Our hills were home to the greatest moonshiner ever: Popcorn Sutton

  • GaurdDuck,

True, Jim is (still as far as I know) in Robinsville near Bryson City.

  • We probably shouldn't talk about exact locations, states are quite enough. Being a 'shiner my self, I'd never give my name or location.

  • Jim Tom says it himself in a UNC TV program. I'm not trying to rat him out but there are a LOT of 'seasoned' citizens still up there doing it. Some of my people in Wilkes still do. I'm kind of glad to see the whole thing being kept alive, damn the revenuers.

  • I got some family up in Virginia. Back in the fifties, someone ratted them out. A posse of thirty Virginia Nat'l Gaurdsmen and US Marshals went after them. And were never found. The kicker: my kin had only civil war relics vs the military weapons of the day! They're still Moonshining, and haven't been bothered since.

  • @GaurdDuck

I call BULLSHIT on this one

  • @Lynviking

I suppose you'd call bullshit on the Vietnam war too? A weapon is a weapon. And on home turf, with a weapon you use often for hunting, killing a man is not that difficult. It is more difficult to sneak up on an animal than a man. I'm not saying I'd do it, just that the weapons used and numbers of men didn't matter as much as you might think. A spear is capable of killing a man carrying a rifle, provided you get the jump on him.

  • " but people goes by Nyquil they don't go by the alcheehol contents"

I've watched the documentary 15 times and still love it. Buy it ...it's worth 20 bucks.

  • This looks brilliant! My hat off to those who made and those who appear in this film.

  • I guess if you think about it, the word wine AND the drink WHINE, are kind of intertwined.

  • AL-KEY-HOL

  • I have the full length Docu - he is in Tenn

  • the man in the video is in North Carolina. he lives here in my home town
