Or mabey USC is cool enough that they tried to improve on their last proformance, screw u, USC OWNS! And just so you know, the camra probably sucks, look up different show that is actually close to band, then say they suck. USC owns anough that they can dance all over your face!

In the stone? Again? Didn't your band play that a couple years ago? What did the seniors want to be lazier than normal and recycle shows.
Even for being a repeat, it sounds like crud. No one plays to the releases, and I the sound is horribly ballanced. Too much high end, not enough low brass.
Lastly: the dancing. No self respecting marching band uses a full-band dance sequence, and you use that technique every show. It's marching band, not dancing band.
Oh, and bashing on a band that uses a dance routine? Really, is that what you have left? I think you are trying pretty hard to pick on USC. How ignorant can you be to say that USC recycles shows for different years, and say that because the band dances that there is no self respect. No OTHER band can do what we do, plain and simple.

Well, I'll give you this: no other band wants to do what you do. I was at the ucla usc game this year, and I think it's very telling that a lot of SC fans cheered for your rival band, and the only people who cheered your band were a few students.
really, because from where I was at (on the field itself) it sounded the the entire stadium was pretty entertained. I watched the UCLA band, and no one cheered for them, so I dont know exactly what game you were at, but it wasn't this years game.
heh, the view field facing the student section is hardly a proper vantage point to see the see the fans all around the stadium, namely the people sitting under the press box.

You do realize that y'all probably have four-five months to perfect a show, whereas the TMB plays a new show for every home game (one week shows abound). Most of our members have never touched an instrument or flag before this field show, which we only had about two weeks to learn.
please, walnut, that's sorry. I play with Buddy at Cal Poly, and I watched your video on a show that you had at least 3 months to work on. That video is shot in the nose bleed section, dont bash USC, especially if you are in high school, cause in reality, you've got a long way before you can compare.
Cool our High School band is doing music similar to this for our half-time show "In the Stone" is the exact same arrangemnet we're doing. which is very close to the original EW&F one.. The music is Earth Wind & Fire..We're almost as big as them but nowhere near as great.
I was sitting on the other side, near the top above the tunnel, and I could hardly hear the band. The acoustics are really bad if they're not facing you. I could hear them much better during the game.

Sure, the seats were better to watch the game, but acoustically, we couldnt reach the whole stadium. People opposite us were getting blasted with blaring brass and pounding percussion from Tribute to Troy and Fight On. Now everyone hears us from the Sundeck!
Ha! Glad to hear that you guys are ok with that. I had wondered how it was you guys were with losing your good seats. I had heard that most of you were upset.
A lot of us were pissed off for sure. For all the hard work the band did and our reward was the good seats, and with the new seating, it just seemed that 'reward' was hijacked by white collar trash in the upper echelons at SC. Political bullshit at its finest.
I may hate USC but I know when I see a good marching band. This is a good marching band.
