hey nice playing bro.... btw..... my guitar dont have flyod rose... but got humbuker.... can rite????? coz.... majority use these pick up with flyod rose guitar...... so can i use these pick ups on my non floyd rose guitar????
I have exactly the same problem! But i'm thinking D-Sonic because it is more modern and even John Petrucci switched from SS to DS (altough he uses Crunch Lab nowdays).
hey ! can anyone help me, i have an ibanez s series 520Ex i was thinking of setting a dimarzio steves special to the bridge and a air norton to the neck? what about the orientation you are talking about, i dont know how to face it/ thanks, nice playing , good feeling, also i like the tune
this is a excellent bridge pick up, very responsive and articulate, i dont know about the orientation on this pick up, i think that is for the Dsonic model not for this one. I love this Pup!
Sounds like that Steve's Special has really good note definition and pick attack. The Dimarzio website says that you can turn this pickup around to get a different sound. Which way do you have it oriented?
hey i have an s320wk and thinking of getting these pickups . Do they get gd feedback? and with distorted notes it sais on the dimarzio website tht it stops them from blending 2gether....is tht true?
I'm thinking of getting this same setup. What would you think of placing these in a Les Paul? I have a Jackson as well so if they wouldn't sound so swell in the Paul I could always roll them over into my Jackson. I would prefer them in my Paul though. Any ideas?
well, I recommend because of the type of pickup it is, that you use it in the Jackson because they are designed for the type of body of any Ibanez and the most similar to it its the Jackson. But, in my point of view, everything is designed to be tested, try it out until you find your own sound.
Hi. good sound, very amazing and blillant. I like the combination of steve's special + air norton. How is the clean soun of this pickup? see you

what is the better pickups?!?!? the satriani or the vai set up?!?!? what sounds better at high volume high distortion?!?!?!
GoombaGoone 2 years ago
If all you care about is loud distortion, i'd say Vai. For anything else, Satriani. So, Satriani for the better pickups. At least that's my vote.
