  • Can I actually get this as a job....seriously sign me up.

  • @UmbrellasSpy It's really fun. I've been reenacting sice 10 and I'm now 16. I love it, and I always will :D

  • How does Reenactment work? Do they shoot real bullets ? and how do you know if your hit?

  • its about time someone reenacted a batlle of the pacfic

  • the camera man looked like Fidel Castro

  • 一方的すぎてワロタ。てか、日本兵出てこないし。あ、もしかしてこれはキスカ島の再現ですか?

  • From what my grandfather told me about the pacific theather and ww2 in general. Not even real footage from the time does justice what utter carnage and destruction they saw. Its not all glamorous and coordinated and not ever person gets shot 3 times in the chest and dies cleanly...When they talk abut shredded bodies and shit you can't even imagine and neither can I. Men were getting shot in the face and blown and lived just enough to roll around screaming for minutes on end

  • are you guys shooting air?

  • so slow paced war

  • The Victors writes history. the real history adds up when u put the world history written by 100+ historicans from 100+ countries

  • Those guns look real...

  • @xSuReaLGaming THEY ARE! they aren't using live ammo they are using blanks.

  • Pacific reenactments here in the middle to northern states look all wrong because it isn't tropical. Not to mention having Caucasians representing the Japanese... it is just wrong.

  • Is that a woman I see dressed up as a combat Marine? Seriously? I can't stand it when women reenact as men, it is wrong on so many levels.

  • Your doing it wrong

  • @Viiiiictooor japans banzais killed a lot of are men

  • THE AMERICAN DREAM!!

  • That would be cool if Japanese were fighting the Americans

  • Who is reenacting the Japanese? Or are they just shooting at nothing? I would Iove to see Jap forces mow em all down, us Americans are way to cocky for our own good. Just saying.

  • @citizensnips83 I did notice one Japanese soldier but i think there would be less of them because WW2 Japanese gear is most likely much harder to find...but ya it would be really cool to see lots of Japanese soldiers and American ones fight it out =D

  • I like to join the Pacific Re-enactment whey can I fine them

  • the men that fought in WW2 are the hero's because of them we live in peace. they gave their lives for us not everybody knows that and not everybody respects that !

So respects the veterans of al country's that fought in ww2

and all other wars remember they fight for the country and we are part of that country

  • no artilery explostions oh come on...germans had one hell of an artilery

  • was this part of a junior high History project?

  • they shoot but it does not hurt

  • The rounds are blanks: just the sound and nothing comes out. they're not getting hit with anything.

  • THE FIRE IS REAL!

  • are the guns real

  • Nope, its loose shots, they make the fire and the sound, but theres no bullet flying out.

  • @AndreasL22 do you mean BLANKS???!!!!LOL

  • @ww298kscope Yeah sorry

  • Yes. they are firing blanks that have no bullet on the end. So same noise, loudness and sight. They use blanks for force on force training in the military and also for movies and TV shows.

  • lol if there was only japanese PPL, =D lol, cause its not fair that their fighting air =D

  • good job!!!!

  • very good

  • try hiroshima or nagasaki reenactment next time.

i will join as a victim then.

  • tenno heika bonsai?

  • bansai u fool

  • Background music doesnt FIT, is gay and annoying.

  • @jtzproductions agreed

  • @jtzproductions its medal of honor! you crazy boy

  • What are they actualy shooting? I didnt see any Japanese soldiers

  • OMG A PACIFIC REENACTMENT?!?! whats dat? wheres the Easy Company and Waffen SS? I thought those were the only two units in WWII?But really thats cool I never have seen a PTO reenactment, those really are rare.

  • Nah man alot more wer involved that those two........just in most films and stuff that is all they sho

  • Sarcasm. It better be.

  • Oh it be.A lil reenactor humor for yuh.But I do really wish I could go to a PTO reenactment,Ive never seen one.

  • shut the hell up pie

  • yea ww2 was just like that. 8 50 year old virgins guys running around shooting at nothing, no 1 dies and people clap in the end.

  • @88pie88 reenacting history is not a game its about showing respect to those who DIED and ARE LIVING in america and everywhere else if you died you woud wont some body to show respect instead of just forgetting what you fought for right?

  • @88pie88 I saw these reenactments, they were actually good but this is poorly directes so it does look pretty shitty.

  • this is nothing like the real battle there is like 6 guys per side

  • wow dude you need to be quiet they put alot of time and money into something they love. i would feel so proud to be re enacting with them

  • NIPPON BANZAI!!!

  • where are the nips?

  • the guys with the camo helms are the japs

  • uhh.....AMERICAAA!!!! FUCK YEA!!!!!!

We are free now thanks to the sacrifices of these men.

  • world war two liberated france not america

  • edon jhe gah, BANZAII!!!!!!

  • i know its an old post but just fyi its tennohenkai.

  • i see no one japan soldier^^?

  • FYI: for some reason this thread put my former comment at the top of the page, though it was supposed to be a reply to "polpiv4tifi"

  • this is the best ww2 reenactment vid i have seen yet. I am glad i got the chance to see it.

  • also, just cause ur grandfather was in WWII, doesnt mean you know what it was like, he does. I dont what it was like, since i was never there.

  • you know, not to be rude, but unless you are 80+ and were there, youcant sya if it;s true or not. All i can say is I dont really why waste money on this?

  • It isnt wasting money. If you dont like it then dont. I am a ww2 reenactor and i can tell you that i reenact so i can understand what they had to carry into battle, what tactics were used. There is so much you can learn in a book.

  • there is a lot you can learn in a book, but what i was saying is you dont know how the war really was like unless you were there. it pisses me off to ee people saying "oh i know what it was like!" because they dont, and i still think it's a waste of money.

  • Can't wait till I am 18 to be a reenactor!

  • You dont have to be 18 i am 17 and started when i was 16...dont let age stop you.

  • What came out of the the flame thrower

  • reminds me of Papue New Guinea :)

  • nice 5 *****

  • Those are some expensive bits of equipment right there.

  • I have an M1 Thompson, a helmet and a uniform. Just tell me where you guys are.:)

  • Way to slow Battle is panic and fear moving fast shaking they are all calmly reloading their weapons and firing rounds off slowly

  • Its because they are in front of an audience.

  • Lets not get all serious now, thats why its called an Reenactment

  • I'll bring my M1 garand tell me where.....

  • they actually use REAL flamethrowers...!!!!?!?!

  • ya i gotta agree this is hardly anything what its like. The lil dude with the m2 behind the tank he wuda been a crispy critter in seconds and those guys setting up the machine guns lazily, would have been lit up.

  • plaing cod5 is more realistic than watching this! but the flamethrower was badass

  • oh yeah hit it right there baby o yes o yes o yes AH it FEELS SO GOOD

  • Look im sorry if you took it the wrong way, its pretty realistic it just needs more really loud explosions and a few cries of pain. and I accept your apologie about saying i know nothing about WWII I really do.

  • hmm what bullets are they using? rubber balls? Or just guns making flashes? The music sounds like medal of honor music.

  • blanks bro

  • Look, I'm in this re-enactment, and although I understand where you're coming from, we're already pushing safety guidelines by using a live flamethrower. Some things we just can't do without unduly risking injury. This was on the old field though. The new one is a bit better set up for that kind of stuff.

  • you have no idea what WWII is like.

  • do you?

  • I agree with Suchite, there is absolutely NO way you know what war is like unless you experience it yourself. Even if you are (or think you are) a WWII fanatic, that just means you know what happened in the war, what was used in the war, how it stopped, etc., NOT what it was like.

  • srgtferrari have you ever participated in a ww2 reenactment???

  • doubt it. unless you were there... you dont know. even reenactors get 1/38538917519837 of the realism of ww2.

  • my grandad was a guerilla in ww2 in the pacific in philippines. but he died in the 80's nd i was borned in '93. man, if he was still alive he cud tell me stories of his battles. i wish hes still alive.

  • there were no guerrillas in WW@ get your stories straight boy.

  • yeah moron get ur stories straight.

  • there were phillipeno guarriles there were the french underground so get you stories right

  • These re enactments are so unrealistic.

  • how so?

  • Battles are filled with EXTREMELY loud explosions, bloody and gory corpses, screaming and crying men, blinding flashes of light, etc.

My grandad was a veteran of World War 2, that's one reason why I know.

  • true almost my wholke family was in WW2 my grandpa was in TECH4 and meet my grandma in italy the funny thing is was that my grandpa was 100% check and my grandma was 100% italion lol

  • ain't that the fucking truth

  • Yep it is man.

  • My husband, a WWII historian, is one of these re-enacters. He volunteers his time to making sure no one forgets, on either side, that war is brutal. All of these men feel that way. They respect those who fought on both sides. I've been to these shows and I've seen veterens from both sides walk away crying and thanking the staff of the Nimitz. If you go to one of these shows, you'll see that both sides are equally represented and respected. All veterans are honored here.

  • hay my uncle has a tomson it realy fun to shoot =)

  • Once again you must present the evidence.

  • I like it, but they need to have some close quarter fighting which personified the ferocity of the Pacific. This is very distant in the fashion of Civil War reenactors.

    Semper Fidelis,

    1/6 HARD!

  • mesmerizeme has a lot of hate.

  • Don't mined him. He's just mad because his country lost to America twice.

  • Mesmerizeme, please show me the proof. American soldiers are more civilized than this. Maybe in your mind you wish this were true!

  • One word asswipe, Holocaust. Now sit down and shut up.

  • hay youre just mad because we won the war -.-

  • All you guys please grow up. Until you have been in combat yourselves don't say anything. A soldier is just a soldier no matter on what side they might be on.

  • Cool!

  • Great footage. Shit music. Too technoish.

  • nice reenactment =)

  • But i hate racists!

  • no they dont but anyway, i dont want to fight...

  • 1:53... there's a midget.

  • were is this at

  • im going there this weekend

  • are*

  • Why everybody hates united states? They who live there is people too dont you get it?

  • u know, u may say hes wrong, and slate him for his veiws, but i think he is right

  • very intresting

  • hey, if u like WWII video or interviews with veterans check out some of the videos I have.

  • dude.. i would love to do some reenacting.. i dont care what its about but i would love to do it.. where would be the best possible place to do such?

  • anywhere really in the u.s.

  • waa waa waa...

  • At that one part where the men are behind that tank aint that a britsh tank?

  • its a stuart light tank used widly in the pasific, with americans. and during the earlly war years with the british

  • very athintice weapons (sorry about spelling)

  • God bless the brave men and women who have died fighting for us.

  • Then why not airsoft? Same adrenaline rush as paintball without the mess and more realistic weapons. (No hoppers, gearboxes are easier to work with when customizing a M1 Garand or 30cal)

    Only difference is sound.

  • Ha. The Civil War guys march better than these lads!

  • It just seems a bit weird that people would want to re-enact such a ghastly activity(warfare) and treat a small audience to a bit of afternoon entertainment. Not good at all. War re-enactors have the wrong end of the stick.

  • You look at it in a very negative way.

  • no it doesn't. i do civil war reanactments with my friends and stuff and we learn alot, and get to experiance what the soliders felt like back in the day. the adrenline, what htey saw, the only thing we don't experiance that they did is death, and shear pain.

  • Find me a peace re-enactor then... It's not that war is good or glorious, but rather that war should never be forgotten. This is just our way of remembering, both for ourselves and all of the fallen.

  • ww2 reenactments are there to teach the public of how those soldiers were in the war and what they had to go through. becasue if you havent noticed... the public knows shit about ww2.

  • I have been a keen student of military history since I first learned how to read, and the more I understand what war is all about, the more insane it becomes. Why a group of people would want to glorify what is essentially an evil activity really baffles me. The number one aim of a government when training soldiers is to make them accept, in one guise or another (pride, duty, manhood, patriotism etc) that they are expendible. What a soldier fights and dies for, will eventually become redundant.

  • whatever man thats your opinion... just not mine.

  • I don't know whether to rebuke you or praise you, but there is truth to what you say. Maybe the idea of recreating the battles you read about doesn't appeal to you, but to the rest of us it does. I have been intrigued by warfare and the military my whole life; I'm not old enough to go to war nor do I ever wish to, but I do want to reenact it because it serves as an educational experience for many, as well as chance to honor the men who fought in a way that I can enjoy doing.

  • do these things take place anywhere in new york?

  • Who played the Japanese soldiers? Japanese exchange students?

  • I was in this particular reenactment, and I can say that the Japanese soldiers in this instance were played by caucasian men who are interested in portraying the Japanese point of view.

  • Lol no japanes slaves lol xD

  • The February, 2005 60th anniversary reenactment of the battle of Iwo Jima was just incredible. The Nimitz museum and staff and the whole city of Fredericksburg combined to make it an unforgettable experience for the thousands who showed up. The japanese reenactors are a very dedicated and sincere bunch of guys, very generous with their participation.... GREAT STUFF! THANKS!

  • Thats cool but there were not that many Japanese. Also it was kind of to quiet and layed back. All the men were to calm and relaxed for being in the middle of a "battle". They should have had people running around, commandars yelling orders and more choas it would have made it more realistic. I do Civil War re-enatments so maybe its different I don't know. I've never done WWII re-enactments.

  • well show battles are sometimes different than the tactical ones. no idea why but in the tactical when you dont have the pucblic watching it seems very more realistic and scary (sort of)

im a german reenactor and i ran across a field once to take out a mg nest and hearing that thing go off makes it really freaky and more real.

  • where are the japanese?

  • The battle re-enactment is preceded by several demonstrations and lessons. The Japanese, their history, and their fighting tactics/weapons are discussed during this part of the show. The discussion is executed with great tact and attention to detail. They choose not to show American soldiers killing Japanese soldiers.

  • do any of these events take place somewhere in new york?

  • What if they acted out casualties on both sides?

  • why didnt they show that? All over the U.S. they have ww2 reenactments showing the different sides killing each other.

  • Omigod! You guys have a flamethrower...way cool. I've always wanted to know what WWII re-enacters did since I discovered youtube for Civil War. I remember when WWII was less than 15 years over and there was still debris on Omaha Beach. Now it's been over 50 years--I'm glad people are keeping the memories alive. My father was a fighter pilot, and most kids my age talked about what our Dads did in "the War." Thanks

  • you've actually been to omaha beach shortly after WWII? wow, must have been weird....

  • Yes, it was weird. It was a very damp, dreary overcast day. I remember thinking that it was probably like that on D-Day. There was almost a presence there like some people say about places like Gettysburg. There were pillboxes above the beach and large anchors on the beach. We lived in France and Germany a total of 3 years, and there were still bombed out buildings everywhere. I got used to it quickly, but looking back it seeems surreal.
