excelent surgery Dr. But what is the new issue? Today with the need of the integrity of bone for implants i do atraumatic and simple extraccions all the time. I never use forceps except when the crown is complete and just a final twist. Greetings.

It's nice to see medical professionals using gentle techniques. Ever see vids of lipo? They really bang the suction rod around, and people are in tons of pain after. My oral surgeon used techniques like those in the video when my wisdom teeth went, and I had almost no pain after, with no swelling or bruising. If doctors are gentle with peoples' bodies (as in the video), patients recover much more quickly.

Don't get root canals...they don't last....and you will just be right back at the dentist--trust me....and besides one dentist told to me get a root canal, another dentist said no root canal the tooth should go. I just had my UR (#1) wisdom tooth removed last night. My pain tolerance is very low, and it was my first tooth extraction. (It grew in normally, but had developed a cavity at and above the gum line). After the xray they said the roots were curved and it might make the extraction more difficult. I was AMAZED that the tooth came out in barely 60 seconds, there was zero pain, and very little blood. I have no post-op pain and hopefully it stays that way. A good oral surgeon is the key.

I worked as an assistant to a vet at the African Lion Safari in Ontario Canada as a teen.

We often did the same procedure to large cats and Baboons.

My question is how did a human ever fracture a tooth vertically? These fractures are normally caused by gnashing their teeth while competing for food, posturing, or fighting.

I didn’t think a human has enough jaw strength to do this kind of damage.

I don't mind sitting in a dental chair at all and get a tooth pulled i have had 2 really bad ones pulled and let me tell you after you get home and sleep the pain off for a couple of hours it will be all worth it i felt like a new man after getting them pulled i didnt need to take 10mg hydrocodone to calm the pain anymore dont be afraid of dentists people they do there job well

Read up on that new german technology where they suck out some of that juice created by the sac AKA THE THIRD eye in your head. Well they take the juice out and prep it for insertion into the dmaged tooth and the juice helps the tooth heal 100% back to normal. Btu i doubt it would work on a split tooth.

The tooth was neither periodontally compromised nor did it have a big apical lesion. The tooth had no mobility but was in a cross bite. Good extraction techniques usually make the hardest of extractions quite simple and predictable.
