excelent surgery Dr. But what is the new issue? Today with the need of the integrity of bone for implants i do atraumatic and simple extraccions all the time. I never use forceps except when the crown is complete and just a final twist. Greetings.
i was skiing and faceplanted. i ended up chipping 5 teeth and fracturing four. i had to get this procedure done on two teeth and now i need a total of three root canals. this wasnt painful though. i was asleep
It's nice to see medical professionals using gentle techniques. Ever see vids of lipo? They really bang the suction rod around, and people are in tons of pain after. My oral surgeon used techniques like those in the video when my wisdom teeth went, and I had almost no pain after, with no swelling or bruising. If doctors are gentle with peoples' bodies (as in the video), patients recover much more quickly.
@hengsokkung i disagree, he was trying to preserve the gingiva as much as he can. Plus fast extractions sometimes lead to complication. And if you are a colleague who are you to judge for someone else's technique.
I had a rotten baby tooth crack on me while chewing on a chicken bone. Lucky for me, the pieces fell out eventually as the new tooth grew in. Everything was purple at the root haha
Im getting knocked out 2moro to have 3 teeth out, i am actually looking forward to it coz its bye bye tooth ache, but im so poo-ing myself!!!!!! wanna cry so bad lol, BRUSH YA DAMN TEETH
you better knock yourself out good dude.....it can be a very barbaric situation. If a tooth is really decayed it will break off. Don't get root canals...they don't last....and you will just be right back at the dentist--trust me....and besides one dentist told to me get a root canal, another dentist said no root canal the tooth should go. Should have listened to the second dentist.
I hate brushing my teeth, its soo annoying, i wish teeth were like steel and nothing could hurt them and there were no such thing as wisdom teeth, cavitys or anything >:[
well this is different to what my dentist used with my tooth removal, she used that tool to loosen it but then used them shiny silver plier -type things
i only got like 23 teeth left , and one i just cracked in half tonight, it was a filling the dentist did , now i dont know what the hell if ishould just have it pulled
Omg I really don't wanna go to the dentist now! Eeee..... On my right upper side, I had little pain but my tooth like just cracked I guess little later on. Now i see like a blackish spot, indicating a cavity I believe... Then my right bottome molar has a cavity... And something on my left side is causing slight pain, let me guess... A cavity! :( arg I stopped eating candy often like a year ago, shit still happens ;(
I just had my UR (#1) wisdom tooth removed last night. My pain tolerance is very low, and it was my first tooth extraction. (It grew in normally, but had developed a cavity at and above the gum line). After the xray they said the roots were curved and it might make the extraction more difficult. I was AMAZED that the tooth came out in barely 60 seconds, there was zero pain, and very little blood. I have no post-op pain and hopefully it stays that way. A good oral surgeon is the key.
Hi Dr. Hirji! I'm studying dentistry in mexico city, it's my first year, I want to know the name of the instrument that you use to extract the tooth, and if if can be found in mexico
About 6 hours ago I was eating rice cakes and I felt one of my front teeth crack. A huge part of it feels loose, but I can't just go to a dentist because I'm bed-bound and unable to walk (I've even had to be taken to hospital appointments via ambulance). I'm at a loss what to do...
I got a tooth extracted,it was a cavaity under a cavity...oral surgeon did it in 1 minute!!! that was 8 years ago.Now i need a root canal extracted that i got 24 years ago.Is that harder to extract??? I cracked it eating hard cereal...Other then that,my teeth are good!
I worked as an assistant to a vet at the African Lion Safari in Ontario Canada as a teen.
We often did the same procedure to large cats and Baboons.
My question is how did a human ever fracture a tooth vertically? These fractures are normally caused by gnashing their teeth while competing for food, posturing, or fighting.
I didn’t think a human has enough jaw strength to do this kind of damage.
I don't mind sitting in a dental chair at all and get a tooth pulled i have had 2 really bad ones pulled and let me tell you after you get home and sleep the pain off for a couple of hours it will be all worth it i felt like a new man after getting them pulled i didnt need to take 10mg hydrocodone to calm the pain anymore dont be afraid of dentists people they do there job well
Read up on that new german technology where they suck out some of that juice created by the sac AKA THE THIRD eye in your head. Well they take the juice out and prep it for insertion into the dmaged tooth and the juice helps the tooth heal 100% back to normal. Btu i doubt it would work on a split tooth.
if i have to have a tooth out, i need heavy sedation, i cant relax knowing what hes doing, and same thing with a rootcannal, i would rather have the tooth removed, and not remember a thing
Last thursday I lost 2 friends; #2 and #5, the first of another 15 or so, for 30 years I ignored the brush and floss mantra, now I will have just enough teeth to anchor my upper and lower partials
wow that tooth was really fractured. I have a little hairline fracture in my front tooth. Can someone tell me, will i need a root canal or extraction in the long run. I have braces over that tooth right now and im scared that the pressure from the braces will cause it to need one of those. Please respond soon.
Why is it when i had 2 teeth pulled the otherday it didnt come out so easy, he had to grind and twist and prey and cut to get them out and i hurt for days and days.?
he should learn how to use dental forcep with twist and bucal lingual movement.no cortical bone fracture.100% sure. n plus,i can do it within 30 sec for premolar.patient less stress, thats more important cz no body likes to be in our chair too long

I know that there is no other way to do it but it looks so "medieval" and barbaric that modern dentists just push and pull the tooth until it comes out using not much other than brute force. THIS IS JUST HOW IT LOOKS TO ME.
