This sounds like it took some inspiration from Chick Corea - Return to Forever. SNES music was amazing. Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2 and F-Zero had some of the best.
I was 13 back when this was released - the apex of my childhood. Now at 32 I'm sad to say that I can't relate to any of the current games. I feel so out of place and awkward when I play then. But this... This I can always go back to and reminisce of simpler times.
@Einhander49 I'm 23 I feel the same. My brother borned in 1979 quite the same age as you made me discovered all this game. It's our childhood we are the first generations that feel such things I presume. Their is no soul in most of the new game but perhaps it's only because we were young that we feel it. We were indeed really sensitive at that time. SNES forever!
@Einhander49 i still love this game too, but the games of today r more complicated (the current "young" generation have the same problems u do with getting to grips with current-gen games). plus the problems of life are an added weight as responsibility's and family-life dynamics become increasingly more important than playing video games. make time for the kid inside u.

Ahhh....Memories sittin in front of my chunky analogue tv on a weekend day addictively playing this game and lovin the music at the same time. The sweet and simple days!
Team Teamwork sould definitely do a mashup with this soundtrack just like they did with the Goldeneye and Ocarina of Time soundtracks. this is one of the best soundtracks
Hey everyone, if your into F-Zero or retro games in general you might want to check out my channel
"The Emulator Review"
I review classic games spanning across many platforms as well as tech gadgets and software! I also have a high def review of this game live! Come check it out!
@tfoister01 The word "emu" means several different things. If pronounced "ee-mue" then yes it is a bird. there is a manufacture of pro audio equipment named "EMU" and then as I use it Pronounced as whole letters "E-M-U" for my channel. it is short and an abbreviation for "Emulator" In the community most Emulators are abbreviated this way. So My channel is pronounced "The E-M-U Review" Thanks for asking! :)
Ca me rappelle mon enfance! Si mélancolique! Avec un fond désertique et au loin des spectres d'explosions atomiques. Cette mélodie m'a toujours bouleversé. Je sais pas pourquoi. En tout cas grand merci!!
@GISamurai I dunno about the gfx being ahead of its time man. We have the capability to produce some sick graphics nowdays and that is something way more than what people in the past said about nowdays.
The snes was ahead of it's time. Games on consoles nowdays are'nt anything special, especially when compared to PC's. Plus its more than graphics, its style as well. Super metroid looks fantastic style wise to this day. Sorry.
@ToddMc82 I agree on Super Metroid, even though I only played it for the first time in Summer 2009.
I'm in a silly position where I didn't really get into gaming until 2008, but since I was stuck with Nintendo systems I really had no choice but to backtrack and hit the classics. The result is a dearth of stuff from the current generation, and a lot of older games as my favorites. Newer titles like Resident Evil 4 and both Super Mario Galaxies are still god-tier though!
@MachRiderZero ...omg mind fuck..... What i ment to say was Genesis was the first 16 bit console. It was ahead. Even with the 32x, Saturn and Dream cast.
@GISamurai (I know its a really old comment but meh, everyone should read this :D )
Game designers back in the day worked from scratch, so they actually took time into composing OST's for videogames, nothing like the generic orchestral or techno beat in every modern game.
THis may sound incredibly stupid but...........i'm beginning music theory......so I think i make out the "6" part, but not the "4", help me out on that!!!
Dude! I thought I was stupid for even bothering to search for this song, but low and behold it's here! Thank you, JENSSCHLAU. Many high octane memories of this game and it's music.
argh, why can't I be a kid again!

Xads308 1 year ago 2
@Xads308 It's what happens when you cross Dave Lombardo, Paul Bostaph, and Scott Travis and make that person a drummer.
Really it just sounds like religious use of double bass.
Of course, SNES music is synthesized.
