You jump my way :D that's rare. I only know a few people who do that. I span (?) that way and jumped the 'normal' way. My coach told me I had to pick one way and told me I should switch my spin, but I was a rebellious kid so I switched my Jumps instead :)

@sk8rmome My old coach gave me hell for that for years. I ended up quitting, and that was one of the reasons. I have a new coach now who actually enjoys teaching me to do everything the opposite way. He enjoys the challenge, he says XD

when you jump from the ice into an axel do u go forwards or backwards.Beacuse my skating coach said backwards and i just want to make sure she wasn't wrong
An Axel entrance is forwards. You start by skating backwards to build up your momentum, then you turn forwards on to your take off leg, bend your knee and jump. The axel is 1 and 1/2 rotations so you must start forwards, otherwise you only get one rotation. It's the same entrance as a Waltz Jump
When I first started jumping and spinning, I jumped like an opposite rotator and spun the other way. My coach told me that whichever way felt natural for me to jump was the way I had to jump and spin. I had to change my spins to the opposite rotator direction. It felt very weird at first, but I adjusted pretty quickly. Hang in there, it will get better.

NO!, I cannot even attempt a lutz or axel on ice, off ice they are great... well good enough... I am an avid youtube watcher, time to go practice telekinesis, or meditate.
