Sometime squad leaders or platoon sergeants will do that aswell and they are enlisted personnel. All in all it doesnt matter what you are when you pump out, you do what you need to to stay alive. I was wondering, if you are regular infantry how are you determined your weapon? like m16 m4 or even machine gunner and like a m249? and all of the scopes/grenade launchers how do you get everything on your gun and how do you get a certain gun?

my brother just finished mojave viper training...it was tough...bleeding tore up feet...colds...horrible conditions....no showers for a month....he just got back from there and is stationed in hawaii..will be going to florida then Afghanistan....COME HOME SAFE LANCE CORPORAL NELSON AGUDELO.
I agree with SemperMommy its tough, but they get trained very well. My Boyfriend is in Bridgeport right now in a couple of months headed to "Mojave Viper" and then being deployed. They are trained by the best.

So when you do join, don't judge by prior-enlisted or not, judge by how they lead. I plan to become an officer, and I don't want the enlisted men to think bad of me because I was not enlisted for 3 or 4 years before. I want them to judge by how I do my job. All officers will have to earn their respect whether they were enlisted or not.

Home sweet home! MTM shoot I played in the sandbox three times good ole OIF! I was there when the war broke out second time 04 and last was in 06. Shoot i was stuck with the grunts form 2/10 lima dang we trained like no other. But I'm proud of being a POG. Never thought in four years I would see Iraq three times and pick up SGT! To my friends I lost over there I think of you all the time. Damn I miss the stumps!

I agree with SemperMommy its tough, but they get trained very well. My Boyfriend is in Bridgeport right now in a couple of months headed to "Mojave Viper" and then being deployed. They are trained by the best.

Enlisted always gets the short end of the stick and does more work just to get paid less. So when you do join, don't judge by prior-enlisted or not, judge by how they lead. I plan to become an officer, and I don't want the enlisted men to think bad of me because I was not enlisted for 3 or 4 years before. I want them to judge by how I do my job. All officers will have to earn their respect whether they were enlisted or not.

Boot officers do suck, granted, but they are helped by their senior enlisted to improve -- and in the end they end up being the ones who make or break the unit. The officer is one of the most important guys on the team. Without him, you have problems.

And the Viper had some cool parts but most of the ranges sucked and the coyotes in charge of us were straight retarded. Home sweet home! MTM shoot I played in the sandbox three times good ole OIF! I was there when the war broke out second time 04 and last was in 06. Shoot i was stuck with the grunts form 2/10 lima dang we trained like no other. But I'm proud of being a POG. Never thought in four years I would see Iraq three times and pick up SGT! To my friends I lost over there I think of you all the time. Damn I miss the stumps!
