you can hear the vocals. i saw a youtube video where u can cancel out vocals almost completely in certain programs. don't remember much, but it basically comes down to cancelling sound that lies within the frequency range of most vocals. In other words, target the frequency range where most vocals lie. seems like that's what this person did.
Great job, thanks very much. I love how warm and melancholy the strings sound in the beginning of the verses (2.15 for example). A rare glimpse into the ABBA recording process.
The most interesting part of this version are at 2,14 where one can actually hear the cut the guys did when they cut the second verse in half and only leaving the second part of it. Magnificient studiowork. No wonder they spendt 17 months recording it.
Thanks for this superdresser. There are quite a few cuts in this song, and I mention some of them in my ABBA Gold Anomalies series. Dancing Queen was the first anomalies video I did, and I hadn't quite settled on the format. Also I now notice lots more than I did then, but you may find it interesting, if you hadn't already seen it.
There was a 1 thing about this song...Something wrong.A tape loop or something.Loved this and now.Preferred the B-side Thats me.It sounded unfinished and intriguable!
Just a reminder the lyrics aren't the only piece that has been taken from the song here. Most of the music has been extracted also. This is what is emphasised by using the "Stereo" or "SRS WOW Effect". This piece is laid over the bassline and the adapted backing track music, to add interest and contrast.
