Yamaha is a full size guitar hence easier to play higher notes and chords on higher note voicings. If you believe that you will continue to pursue guitaring , its a good idea to spend money on the Yamaha instead of buying a short scale guitar now and trying to buy another one after 6 months

Well what do you mean by short scale?

Full Scale length = 25.5 inches from nut to bridge. 3/4 scale is around 19 inches
