  • I've been in that bunker. You used to be able to enter it in the '70's. It's down the road from the cement ship on diamond beach.

  • Is this for sale??!

  • thanks for telling me where it is. i live in west cape may and know lighthouse and wrecked concrete ship, how did i miss this or keep missing it???? where is it in relation to lighthouse on left of road and all shops at end of road with ship in front. And lots of fragimites blocking view!!!!!!! thanks...will film next horror movie there,

  • @skitsy17 it's close to the canal.

  • I'd go in

  • We have got a 1000 of those in Denmark along the western coast..

  • Ive been there

  • Where is it in cm?

  • @skitsy17 It is located on the southern tip of New Jersey, within the Cape May Park, also home to its famous lighthouse-

  • inspiration for every halo map

  • This just made my day. Its Beautiful! Excellent Quality, Thank you very much for this!

  • thanks for the cool post

  • He said... "A bunker," *snicker* "on stilts." Heh heh heh...on stilts.. a bunker... hee hee hee

  • is that where they keep uncal sam big perpple dick ?

  • how about going in?

  • "Fixed fortifications are a monument to the stupidity of man."*

    *G.S. Patton.

  • @TheChuck624 Only if such fortifications were meant to withstand storm or seige, which they hardly ever did in Patton's era. This one in Cape May was simply a largish coastal artillery emplacement and comms/observation point to help counter the U-boat menace; U-boats couldn't harm it, so it lasted until not needed anymore.

  • @TheChuck624 Patton said that before he ran into the fortifications around Metz - which ate his lunch.

  • Where exactly is is?

  • This used to be out in the water. I go there all the time. You would really like the gun emplacements at Sandy Hook, NJ if you haven't been there.

  • When I was 10 I walked through the bunker, it had massive steel doors. Thats 40 years ago. Lots of cool sites in ole Cape may. Ugly mug still open ?

  • i'm sorry for the dumb question, but i used to come here all the time as a child, and if i remember correctly the bunker used to be on stilts, when did they take it down?

  • @JukeboxHeartbreak91 Not a dumb question! The bunker was not removed from the stilts -- rather, the space underneath was filled with sand to counteract beach erosion. Starting at 1:34 you can still see the original pilings.

  • @psedie no shit? so is the entire beach like ascending up to that point? because if i remember correctly the stilts were up quite a bit, maybe 20 feet or so? is it the entire beach they added to? or just the bunker?

  • Excellent, super site and good video !!!
