the shield blocked the nuke, the iris didnt. the shield blocks anything that touches it other than players and friendly NPCs, nukes go through world props and it goes through props too lol

if you had the shield on when the nuke went off and had it hidden it wouldnt be a problem.

Well, my guess: Iris were made for such a task. After all, they ARE designed to prevent streams of near-solid energy from passing through them! Whether that's an object mid-wormhole or radiation from a nuke, it doesn't matter. The reason the BLAST didn't get through is obvious: Iris are REALLY FRICKIN TOUGH! XD

if you detonated a nuke in 1 of the 4 corners of flatgrass, it'd only cover that quater of the map...not the hole thing, they made sure it was far away (i did it before and nuke didnt save me, iris up, stargate infront of me)

depends on the size of the country, but from one corner of gm_flatgrass, a nuke covers most of the map, even if it's at one corner. In real life, a nuke will blow up a very sizable portion of the country and spread radioactive fallout across a MUCH larger portion.

Epic Fail, i wasn't saying the Hydrogen Bomb's destructive power came from the nuclear bomb, i was saying the Hydrogen bomb is detonated from the nuclear bomb, as its the only way to get the right conditions ( Heat ) for the Isotopes to explode, Which also happens on the Sun ( the Hydrogen Isotopes exploding )

yeah-normally that wouldn't protect you from a nuke...the shield only keeps out fly shit that can crush you after the nuke goes off... it can't protect you from the blast
