@dannycis461 Repositioning flight, they need the aircraft at Atlanta, so they fly it there with passengers. Say, this 777 was used to fly from Tel Aviv to New York, but then this aicraft is needed to fly from Atlanta to Mumbai, so instead of flying it empty to Atlanta, they fly it as a regular flight wit pax. :)
On the Boeing 777 I prefer the 2-5-2 seat configuration. The 3-3-3 is probably easier for the flight attendants, but I hate sitting between uptight caucasians, who still act as if they're in the Jim Crow era.
i prefer the 3-3-3 configuration... just think something, if you are in the middle seat in the 2-"5"-2 configuration and if you want go to the restroom?... it's easy in the 333, but not in the 252 (my opinion)
You made an excellent point. I never thought about the person in the middle of the 5 seats...I'm an aisle person , so I never realized that. Yes, with 3-3-3, you never have to cross over more than one person if you're not seated on an aisle already. Thanks a lot. I lover airplanes!!!
But in a 2-5-2 config only that person in the middle of the 5 has to cross 2 people to get out, everyone else only has to cross one person. In a 3-3-3 both the people at the window seats have to cross 2 people to get out. Therefore 2-5-2 is technically better.
why would you fly a 777 from JFK- Atlanta Airport? I dont get it ? :/

Flt 17 is now Syd-lax-atl, and 16 is the reverse.

Not all caucasians are racist, and not all caucasians act as if they're still in the Jim Crow era.
Generalizations are insulting and pedantic.

the 777 from JFK to ATL was a threw flight, originated in Mumbai, India. DL 17 BOM-JFK-ATL.
Sadly, they don't send these birds on this route anymore.

yea theyre probably sending all the 737's and maybe 757's to fly them that distance and use the 767's and 777's to jump the pond.
