Another way of getting the head to stay on, is to add some tape to the pole.

So the diameter of the pole is tha same as the diameter of the hole.

It requires some force to get the tip on the pole, but it will not fall off then.

Wish it had an option to be made with a calimacil shaft and handle, the rattan subtracts from it's look in my opinion.
