@user73074 Do you have an nvidia or ati graphics car.d? If so make sure you have the current drivers.. Otherwise just go to the software center and search 'compiz' and then install the compicsettings manager. The moving desktop is callled 'elements' and it's in the settings for csm.
@user73074 If you mean the cube..you find that under system>preferences>CompizSettings or system>preferences>Appearance>advanced for a limited version of the effects.
If you mean the bubble...that called 'elements' and you can have leaves, snow, or bubbles. It's in the csm under elements.
@user73074 It's called Compiz-Fusion and it has TONS of ways to personalize it and tweek it.
Right off the bat in 'appearance' if you check the 'extra' box under 'visual effects' it has the wobbly windows and zoom and a few other things, but to really add the effects you need to search 'Compiz' in the software center and add that plus 'Emerald theme manager"
@user73074 On the menubar: System -> Preference -> Desktop setting -> Windows -> check 'Use Gnome Compositing'
You will need to do some research and use the forums to get everything to work right. Linux is far and away better, easier, and more secure than windows, HOWEVER it is NOT windows, so you will need to learn a few new things, and new application names and locations, but it's well worth the little bit of learning to have a genuinely stable working environment.
Wow, now hiding porn when your parents walk in is as simple as flipping a window.
