It's a beautiful story. And the westerner in japan complex also comes forward. It's a great story :D

@AmericanPowerBase a movie based on a historic period shouldent be "Fantasy" you moron. If you make a movie about a historical timeline, it have to be somewhat correct. The Samurai period is -not- a fantasy piece.

Looks decent, but.. why a girl? First of all, for a japanese to take care of a western person in that age is wierd enough, even if the dutchs where allowed there, and 2nd, I haaardly belive they'd let a girls use a sword, or teach her about bushido, specially when she want to use it for revenge. also, hardly any of the japanese girls got any practice with the sword. This movie is just not logical to me.

As far as proffessional, Hollywood grade movies go, this looks kinda lame. However, on a limited budget with limited resources (which I'm guessing is holding this production back) I can see quality here.

I must admit though, the use of a foreigner as the protagonist is a bit concerning.

I'm no expert, check out my Bushido short film sometime, but this trailer seems a little over the top to me. But I can see effort and ambition behind it.

This has been a personal project for 3 years now, and at the moment, funding is needed to bring my vision to the screen. Once that is done, we can shoot it. Also, this teaser was shot halfway pre-production in just 2 days. The use of a foreigner is done with a reason to see with our western eyes the Japanese way of life. Only when we can understand some things, we can join them, and this is one of the underlaying messages in the movie.

I can fully relate to your use of a foreigner now you explain it lol, my own short film holds an almost identical motif!

One thing I will say that I still don't like about this, though, is that you used the theme music from Battlestar Galactica! Lol! But of course that won't last when you get funding!

I'd be interested in seeing the script, or a basic plotline if lack thereof, as I have done alot of research on feudal Japan.

Also, I was wondering if you were planning to age your protagonist.

The music is more a temp track with the right timing and sound. The finished movie shall have a newly written soundtrack. if you send me an inbox message, we can continue talking about the project. Everything is ready in preproduction. Outlines, Scripts, Character Developments, Complete shotlisting, .. . All we need is the budget to do it.
