Awesome you made it look so fun and easy I enjoyed this I want to make it for the holiday's I want to do a romantic holiday with my girlfriends and our men I think I will need the wooo food lmao Thanks!
u didn't say how long to put them in the oven for? do i just keep my eye on them and wait for them to go solid or....? can u just give me a rough guide on time spent in the oven....eg. 10 mins, 20, 30, 45, etc etc.....thanks in advance. bloody love your videos.
anyway about the creme brulee, didn't bother making it in the end as i had no cream in the fridge. i made creme caramel instead, just used eggs, milk, vanilla and sugar, oh and they turned out really nice too for a first time attempt. cant stop making them now. haha.
going to try them crab cakes out tonight i think, they look so tasty.
so whens your next video up then? we are all waiting.
caroline! I'm going to make this for some ladies :) question: is there a way to make this without the torch, like could I caramelize the sugar in a pan for 3-5 min?
@DJTonyAllen oooh hello! that is lovely of you ;) OK so if you dont have a blow torch you can just put them under a really hot grill and keep your eye on them all the time! You can also melt the sugar in a pan with nothing else, let it bubble a little then pour on top -but be very careful as sugar burns really quickly!!
i just have to tell you one thing don't put the blow torch in an angle only put it right on top of it or else it can and most of the times will burn the sugar as what i saw on the picture of your creme brulee at the end that some parts were
I love all your shows and your kookieness (which is soo cute) but anyway, this process reminds of making custard for topping on wild purple rice which steamed then mixed with coconut milk and sugar then lightly baked to brown the custard like how you did. Now I'm hungry! Thanks!
@carolineartiss I did this for my birthday, everybody like it (or at least that's what they told me) but I did like it. Since I Live in the US finding the fresh vanilla was kind of hard, I had to drive 20 miles to get it but it was worth it. Thank you so much for this video, you've been really helpfull.
@alextauro2000 Hi, hey well done you for giving it a go and for driving 20 miles to get vanilla - wow! respect! You are a true foodie :) Thanks so much for commenting and keep cooking x

What's the difference between a flan and a creme brulee? Is it just that the sugar placement is backwards?
RoseLNguyen 1 year ago
@RoseLNguyen flan is the same as a creme caramel
