These videos are amazingly comprehensive. I can't think of anything you leave out in them. It's great seeing some old favourites again; and some games I never got to experience; and some I've never even heard of! LOL. I still have a boxed copy of Klingon Honor Guard
These gameplay footages look different from those I see on my PC. Is there any chance you are using a Voodoo 2 3dfx card for 1997-1999 games? (I just bought one, because gameplay feels different with such a card.)
It's great to see so many fps games, so many I missed during my childhood, and of course enjoying the sight of games I did play (Like Turok 2). Great video series!
Trespasser had such incredible potential to be an all-time great -- however, it was almost like they hired someone at the last minute to take one look at the design document and completely shat all over it.
And that 'arm' seems to be more akin to a tentacle. Not only that, she only seems to be half-a-foot tall.
I'm no expert on these things, but can you tell me why is there a game called Remington Topshot? I've never played the game so I have no idea of what it's like. The only thing is that to me it looks like a copy of the classic game for windows something, called Prairie Dog Hunt. Therefore what makes it so speacial to be on this list? I mean the windows game came out in 1993 and it wasn't on your list.
Novalogic's Delta Force - new shitty era of army games... SiN - great, very underrated game (at least in middle Europe) back then i was only one in class knowing it
WATCH OUT FOR THE SIDE ON T-REX SPECIAL ATTACK! That made me laugh so much :P
I've watched these vids from the start, all my faves are there, Outlaws, Dark Forces e.t.c.... but one I'm looking for isn't, I'm not sure if you'd know it from my description of what I saw when I was young but, the demo had you start in a rainy square area, you'd go undercover and kill a few scorpions then go on a conveyer belt into another open area with four obelisks in it.
She is counting how many bullets she has left. Rather than a conventional hud, she (whoever she is) lets you know how many rounds a gun contains when you first pick it up, switch to it or are just about to run out of ammo.
Its basically a firing range sim, I included it because I had fun shooting rabbits with a MG.
I did play with the idea of putting in some rail shooters, but decided against it. Partly cos I dont like em, but mainly because the lack of choice in the direction you travel is (despite the fps view) rather diferent from the FPS's that I want to include. So much go's into the feel of movement of a FPS during its development. Compare the fluidity of Quake III to the floaty feel of Redfaction.
Turok: Seeds of Evil. Jeez, that was a classic. In fact, I believe that was the first game I ever played. And I was at least 4 years old! Good times...
I was looking for an original CD for Trespasser, on E-bay, £30 with postage on top of that. Its really rare to get a genuine copy for a decent price these days.
Next volume, not enough space with only ten minuits to cram things in, I left some room in this one though, with longer time spent on each game cos there are a few games that i might add to it later ;-)
Great physics, just the dodgy arm that holds a two handed weapon one handedly that spoils it, only very slightly though as the atmosphere makes up for it.
It hardly ever gets mentioned, but it's the only FPS, as far as I am awair, that the enemy (dino's in this case) could make you drop your weapon by knocking it out of your hands. It is funny how so many modern shooters have your hands virtually glued to your weapon, even when swimming and climbing.
god i remember playing the vigilance demo so long ago. was so awesome i forgot about that game until i saw it now!

Rainbow Six... they killed a great simulator with the latest installments; Raven Shield was the last decent one in the series.
Just wait till the xbox generation gets in their 20s with their bags full of 'achievements'.
