everyone knows germany planned to continue war since 1920, there is no way you can delete ww1 frontlines that were kept strong the entire time of the war without planning. to be honest in ww1 we should of continued and took out germany(not extinct them just march through the berlin armies) and made sure that they wouldnt make another war 30-40 years later.

Russia wouldve been beaten by 2 countries a 20th their size.

Not true whatsoever, both back then and now. France nowadays is one of the most beautiful, and strongest nations in the world, surpassing that of even Germany.
Back then, they were unprepared for this battle. They thought that their Marginot Line would protect them from German invasion. However, the Germans simply went around it by crossing through neutral Belgium (again).

By mid 1943 Hitler's own generals knew the war was lost. They hoped they could either do a tactical retreat to some defense line and hope they could negotiate a peace (a short one maybe but to give them time to gain new strength) with the USSR, while keeping control over most of Europe. Hitler wanted none of that and thereby sacrificed millions of German lives. This is why assassination attempts on Hitler became increasingly common in 1943.

The end of The WW2 was the Great Battle of Stalingrad...If nazis won that, they would certainly won moscow and leningrad...and USSR would colapsed....But they lost that battle, and all the big generals and analists saw that the war for Germany was lost there.

everyone knows germany planned to continue war since 1920, there is no way you can delete ww1 frontlines that were kept strong the entire time of the war without planning. to be honest in ww1 we should of continued and took out germany(not extinct them just march through the berlin armies) and made sure that they wouldnt make another war 30-40 years later.
we didnt tho so why does it matter now, iran is more of a problem then germany these days.

@SovietGamers One problem - if Hitler wouldn't attack USSR, USSR would attack Hitler. Not later than in 42'. Hitler didn't have a real chance to win the war. Axis industrial/human/resource potential was too small to compete with allies. And it was a matter of time, when it will become military advantage. What Third Reich achieved is already tremendous, they've done almost everything perfectly in the first 1,5-2 years of war. And their small mistakes wouldn't change anything.

True. But he had no other choice.He knew the USSR was rapidly building up its army and replacing old equipment. If he delayed an attack for too long and the initiative might have been lost.
Stalin expected Hitler would invade in 1943 and therefore the 1941 invasion came at a time the red army was still re-building itself from the lessons learned in the Winter War with Finland in 1939-1940. The later war was also the reason Hitler thought he would surely win in 1941

@pskovityanin No D-Day happened so that the Allies could Liberate France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxemburg, along with Denmark and Norway. And no, 90% of the losses were not on the eastern front. Also if the allies didn't have the threat of an invasion through Western Europe, Hitler could've used those forces to win Stalingrad and officially break the backbone of Russia. Don't get it mixed up, niether of us would've won if the other wasn't involved.

And look at the dates after. To the D-day moment in June 1944!!! USSR liberated all his territory, came into Poland, Romania and Germany and almost crushed all main units of Wermacht.

@pskovityanin U.S.S.R. Did not liberate all their territory by then. Germany still had a huge amount of troops in Modern day Belarus and the Baltic states. There was German Territory in the Baltic's until the end of the war. Also, if it wasn't for Britians Navy, all supplies and trades getting to the U.S.S.R. would've been cut off by the German navy, and all it took for germany to beat Russia is if they got involved in 1941 also. Russia wouldve been beaten by 2 countries a 20th their size.

Its only after two years of war, and total war of both invaders agaist Polish people (without mentioning of the expansion of both into other nations of Europe) the till-then allies started the war between them.
Obviously the British (and Soviet since 1941) effort was enormous - it's indisputable.

Red army 17 of september went to Kurzon line. 400000 polish troops without fight were interned by Red Army. Britain and France all this time were silent and did nothing.
In June 1941 Hitler began offensive from Kurzon line. If he began offensive from Minsk, he 'd 've won the war and world.

The 14th is date of no significance. The final result of the campaign was obvious - but it was the same obvious at Aug 31st -anyway most of Poland with Warsaw was free and the army kept fighting. The trip to London on that day is a fantasy - the govt was present in the country on 14th and 17th when USSR invaded.Some didn't fight, u're right, the knife in back was total surprise. Thousands of them were murdered by Soviets

After this they were only losing losing and losing. Lost to Germany in Franco-prussian war, at ww1 all battles were on france territory( 1st Marne battle, Verdum, 2nd Marne battle). They got only luck at 1st Marne battle cause Russian empire charged into east prussia...

Not true whatsoever, both back then and now. France nowadays is one of the most beautiful, and strongest nations in the world, surpassing that of even Germany.
Back then, they were unprepared for this battle. They thought that their Marginot Line would protect them from German invasion. However, the Germans simply went around it by crossing through neutral Belgium (again).
France wasn't weak, they were just unprepared and too reliant on others.

for people wondering why spain or portugal wasn't attacked here is the reason. during that time, before the start of WW2, spain had a three year civil war. when the war was over in april 1939, francisco franco came to power. when northern france fell in 1940, franco told hitler that he wants spain to stay neutral and recover from the civil war it had. instead, franco sent troops to aid the germans. well, there is your reason.
