not my favorite performance of Alexey.. can't exactly put my on why. Possibly because I can't hear this version without thinking of Horowitz's timeless rendition

Seriously, whose version of Liszt's Rhapsody was that? It changed some notes, in certain areas, which Liszt didn't even write.

what are you guys referring to when you say it's a dry performance? I've only watched 3 different videos of this music but he sounds pretty good, so, what am I missing?
