How have you won the Iraq war? It's been a disaster for US strategic interests. Did Bush get the 'Declaration of Principles' passed? No. So while you got rid of Saddam, you didn't get the control of oil which was the reason to invade. The contracts have gone to China and Russia. And Iranian influence in Iraq has massively increased. Now the Iraqis are waiting with baited breath to see if the complete withdrawal of US forces will take place. Can't take anything for granted....

If the US wanted to take Iraqi oil and install a puppet regime back in 1991 it would've put that wasn't the plan, the plan was to get rid of Saddam from Kuwait, not occupy Iraq which back then would've been far more difficult then now for all kinds of political and military reasons. I doubt Iranian influence was factored in.

I don't claim the US went against the UN in 2003, this is fact. Read your history and you will see the big difference between the reasons behind the first and second Gulf War. It's pretty simple really. Saddam was allowed to keep helicopters which he used to suppress the Shite and Kurdish uprising in 91. Gulf War 1- Kick Saddam out of Kuwait. Gulf War II- Topple Saddam because he has WMD + some other laughable lies. Understand?

@nothing980454 actually the idea that Bin Laden was funded by the CIA is a Myth. The CIA funded the AFGHAN Mujahedin through the Pakistani ISI. They gave the money to groups that were politically closer too the Pakistani Govt. the Arabs tended to fight alongside those groups and received CIA funding indirectly that way.
