  • great to see two masters enjoying a game of billiards... they make it look sooooooo easy...

  • I really don't understand what the fuck is going on

  • Now I know Efren can play Carom.

  • wtf is with that table? The balls just don't stop rolling.

  • bad players!

  • @socinvietnam these players are the best in the wolrd .torbjorn blomhdal in 3 cushion and efren reyes in pool ...they may play bad because they are young and unexpierienced...dont den an idiot judger

  • Filipinos are great pool and billiards players, but Reyes did not play defense the way Blomdahl did. I beat Filipinos, Mexicans, Peruvians, and US guys and managed to beat some of them because they were too aggressive. And I was a crappy 3-cushion player.

  • Just talk to anyone who played pool or snooker, and they would tell you 3-cushion is much more difficult than either. In the early days of billiards, they moved from balkline to 3-cushion because the experts mastered balkline. No one has mastered 3-cushion. Reyes is an outstanding player, but second-rate in billiards.

  • The high run for straight pool is 564 ball the high run for billiards is 64..... i think that proves it nicely.

  • @bobartsoul

three cushion billiards is the game i mean when i say billiards.

  • The high rule for straight pool is 564 ball the high run for billiards is 64..... i think that proves it nicely.

  • I ran into a gentleman playing this game at my local pool hall, and asked him how to play and now, watching reyes play this totally blows my mind. I can see why ppl call him the best.

  • Google 3 cushion billards rules

  • First, I'd like to mention that Efren was smoking while they were playing, and obviously it was not good. Of course, this game was not very official but he shouldn't have done that. I'm sure that Blomdahl felt little annoying about the smoke. Second, I agree with ssanghho6 in a sense that 3-cushion game is more advanced, because it needs very complicated strokes and to predict the movement of all the 3 balls. But it doesn't follow that 3-cushion game is more difficult than pool games.

  • thats beautiful safty play at 2:06 to 2:23

  • You can practice this game (or "1-cushion" or "2-cushion") on a regular pocket table. It helped me learn the geometry of the table and position play, which opened up my 9-ball game. It's certainly not boring to play--it's addictive, because it involves creativity and because it's very rewarding when you make a point.

  • question: 2nd shot of the video, he doesn't hit 3 cushions between hitting the first ball and second ball, I thought you had to

  • @conostar The rules only require that the players cue ball touches at least 3 cushions in total before contacting the 2nd ball. You don't have to hit a ball first - the 3 (or more) rails and 1st ball can be touched in any order before scoring on the 2nd ball. Many shots require playing 1 or more cushions first.

  • the first shot of rayes is amazing !!! =)

  • When was this?

  • Some of those shots they make are amazing.

  • its hard .. i like it

  • I'm not too informed of the rules, but I do believe the way you play this particular game is to use the white or yellow ball as your cue ball, and then shoot one of the 2 remaining balls, travel 3 cushions or more and contact the last ball; also, if I'm not mistaken, please correct me if I am, you can play a shot into the rail, hit a ball, then hit 2 more cushions and hit the 3rd ball. Something like that anyway.

  • The rule is simple : each player has his cue ball (the white, or the white with a small red dot), and must hit the 2 other balls, but also hit the cushion at least 3 times before touching the second ball. It can be done in whichever order you like : 1st ball, 3 cushions, 2nd ball ; 2 cushions, 1st ball, 1 cushion, 2nd ball, etc

  • and the ball cant touch the first contacted ball before it hits the next ball...

  • how the fuck do you play this?

  • i still do not quite understand the rules of the game, however being a pool player and a fan of cuesports in general i think 3 cushion is completely thrilling to watch as players are able to know the geometry of the table and control the cueball so well.

Seeing Efren in this video further concretes my view that he is the best all round pool player of all time.

    8 ball till sunrise...

  • how can it concrete it when he's beaten by blomdahl in both 3-cushion and 9-ball in the same match? Blomdahl rules.

  • where are the damn pockets

  • This is billiards, not pool. Billiards is a game centered around angles and geometry. Pool is influenced by them also, but pocketing balls isn't a concern as there's no pockets.

  • i dont care for others' preference however it irritates me to see people being ignorant about this game. sure not everyone knows the rules of this game, but being ignorant and saying stuff like 'this is boring' or 'this is shit' ..you guys are just making fool out of yourselves. this game is much more advanced than snooker or pool.

  • you are the one who is being ignorant, someone saying "this is boring" is an opinion, its not an ignorant statement at all, you think you should be able to force what people like and don't like?

  • well you are not reading all of their 'opinion.' they were saying stuff like 'why arent there any holes.' or '3 cushion looks too easy'. they are ignorant because they make such statemement without knowing the rules of this game.

plus i wasnt trying to force my preference to others, i was simply giving my 'opinion' to those people.

  • @ssanghho6 Id like to see your proof this game is more advanced than pool or snooker. Which poolgame are you refering to by the way?

  • @kolaas2006 First off, his comment is about 50 weeks before your comment. And two, pool is easier, which requires more than two games to determine the winner unlike 3 cushion.

  • @8bittt Who cares if his comment is from 50 weeks previous? I'm responding to your 11-month old comment, aren't I?

  • @ssanghho6 yeah man u right, pool is easy i started playing pool 3 years ago and now i play in tournements and i even won prizes like 10k and travels to eupore, but i tried to play 3 cuchion it took me 1 year to learned it and i cant play it very good this 3 cushion is way more dificul than it looks like

  • look right snooker is much better...the pockets are so big on this table they don't even exist

  • How is this b oring? If you love cuesports it is fascinating

  • Lol, a snooker fan saying that...

  • thank you very much for upload

  • $Cookies are yummy... someone come put their hand in my jar! ahaha

  • I didn't know Blomdahl played competitive pool as well, thanks for posting, he is one of my favorite carom players.

  • ((((((thanks for posting)))))

  • search for SEMIH SAYGINER!!

You can not believe in your eyes....

  • i met semih at Carom billiards in flushing new york, he did nothing to fancy but he was amazing, really nice guy too.

  • Right.. Blomdahl is only one of if not the greatest billiard players ever.

  • That comment just show us all that you've got no clue what you're talking about. Better do your homework . By the way, how did you end up on a billiards clip? Must have been a mistake, I guess.

  • I love it... typical filipino. He just took out a cigarette and started smokin' it. Notice Blomdahl is all suited up while Reyes is just barely casual. We filipino's are real like that. What you see is what we really are. We don't act in front of other people... that's what we really are. Anyways good game !

  • Filipinos are good people, there always so friendly and always smiling, backpacking through the philipines was rad, but what you see isn't always what you really are, Filipinos on the whole admittedly make a special effort to be so brotherly and amiable. ask my fried Richard Garcia, Richard... (yes, we make an effort"). see.

  • @lemonadegrave Yes, it is a Christian country. I am sure that Islam has it in its sights. Let's pray that God will protect this people from the scourge of Islam.

  • Blomdahl is an embassador of the game of 3 cushion. If he came showing up any other way would be unacceptable. In most big 3 cushion tournaments, you can't even play without a tux. I hope you don't speak for all filipinos cause you'll wind up giving them a bad name.

  • Nice. Mr Blomdahl will play for FC Porto again next year.

  • not the best match of Blomdahl for sure, but there are some great points. Thanx for posting ;)

  • you must watch semih saygıner

  • Man this table rolls for-EVER! Awesome videos, thanks for posting them.

  • Awesome video - thanks. But damn, are those the old ivory balls? Looks like they weight 10 pounds each.

  • what year was this?

  • It is cool to see Mr Reyes smoking ;)

  • wtf man, why did you have to give away the outcome? Makes it less exciting to watch.
