  • From a distance you could see that he's got long fingers that just float over the keys.

  • Difficult and brilliant music. But Spanish music is only understood when the contrasts are emphasized in spite of the rush to keep going. There are soft and tender parts in the midst of all this jaleo.

  • Last composition written by Manuel de Falla in Madrid before moving into Granada, in 1919, at the request of the great polish pianist Asthur Rubinstein, it's a work with airs from southern Spain, Andalucía,derived directly from the cante jondo, Rubinstein premiered it in 1920 in New York

  • The flemenco music of Cadiz is at the center of this work.

  • Tough piece to play. This is a transparent performance, although I prefer a little more authentic flamenco soul, and would check the score and play the correct notes to do credit to de Falla's amazing re-creation of flamenco "blues notes"...He really captured the wildness of flamenco singing in that section like no classical composer has ever done.

  • Lastima la camara.... que siempre la quitan justo quando vienen los pasajes mas virtuosos....
