Hello, cool video. I am wondering about the cross-fader; can I edit its automation after playing, say I slided it a little late, can I go back and tidy it up or is it more of a live machine only? Thank you :)
They haven't even made it so it can sync to external midi yet? Jeeee talk about half-assed OS.. I Was pretty annoyed when they said "effects will be expanded later".. Sounds like code for "we haven't finished programming it but we are in dire need of sales already"
@VJFranzK received octatrack this week. it seems, that midi-in isn't implemented that much right now. Midi clock input (from octopus) didn't work . maybee i can work it out or it will come with a future update
@VJFranzK As of V0.99 midi is not yet implemented, aside from clock out, but it will be coming in an update. I think it would fit your style perfectly Frank, it is very versatile ;)
@darenager Hey Franz and Daren, what areyour favorite live performance functions of this baby? I'vebeen so closely tied to my RS-7000, I'm always wishing machines would do what it does live. What is pattern switching like? Can you assign patterns to the 16 buttons and then switch between them? How quickly? Do you have to wait for the end of the pattern? Or can you instantly trigger a new pattern?
@simoncred... Its similarly priced to everything else that is on the market. something being expensive and not being able to afford something are two completely different things. But I'm in the same boat as you... Right now I can't afford one but if you look around at what other companies are charging for similar or even lesser machines you'll find it sits right in the middle of what they are priced at also
I've been wanting to get the MDUW for realtime sampling ever since I first saw it but since I heard about this machine I've been waiting to see what it could do. Thank you for posting such an excellent demo of exactly that :) Now I know! And am glad I waited!
This is a musical performance man. Good work.

I really wish someone would do a genuine review for this box without any fanboyism and just show both its positives and negatives.
Id also like to see the full extent of what its effects and filters are capable of on some musical material.

@dzu24 Try clocking the octopus from the OT :)

if I had an Octatrack, this is what I'd be doing with it! ;-) Have you tried MIDI controlling the OT with the TO yet? Is that possible?
Maybe they will let me hook it up at NoiseBug...
