This video isn't accurate. fiat currency can work in theory the problem is that governments always get out of control. YOU CAN MAKE A PROFIT by buying gold because inflation causes a misalication of resources, so some things will be mispriced THAT is the reason inflation is bad it causes contracts (loans, promises to pay in the future, futures markets) to have a different future value than what they should, since no one can accurately predict future inflation.

I agreed with much of what you conveyed but regarding the value of silver I feel that the value of anything is relative, therefore the value of silver can be whatever everyone agrees on and if this value remains constant we will view 'paying' as just giving back equally. It would be a better monetary system then the one we are being governed by now.
