  • That brings back memories for me,

Worked Century and EDO late 80's and early 90's.

The names were Barry Dean, Brian Flack, Sean Kelly, Mark Mosely, Janno,

Agro the cleaner, Muzz the cook, geez i can see faces but can not remember the names, good times,

  • As someone who has interviewed riggers from 13 countries, even veteran American riggers say Aussies don't mess around and know their trade. Just saying what

has been told to me over the years. Veteran riggers who have worked in many countries don't generally diss other riggers' work. They seem more concerned about their own pride & honour of work in the business.

  • @tarnsand i've yet to see anyone of these self-loathers post one second of video. it wouldn't be you tube without the haters.

  • wow that was slow, i throw slips by myself, and what the ell is he waitin 4 to throw those tongs on the mouse hole, my driller would have jerked the chain allready and be yellng his head off.

  • cool vid do does anyone know what the staring pay is overseas juslike an idea?

  • @Dustin1911 25 bucks n hour+- in ND + SUB

  • 503 was a fun ass rig to work on

  • Hehe, I drill these guys's top holes. And they are fuckin fast. and they go hard man, we can hardly keep up sometimes.

  • Karly Shaban the helicopter king you still on that thing last time I saw you was ODE rig 16

with homa and the boys when you legged it out of the donga when you saw that snake hahahaha

I remember the days on 34...

  • hey just wondering how hard is it to get a job in australia i have six years experience and the last three have been drilling and relief pushing, if so who would a guy call

  • Is it true that this type of job invovling oil rigs can be a fatal experience?.....

    daily?..

  • very untrue. it can be dangerous but overall pretty good work. if you got good management and good drillers a rig can be very safe. there are rigs with 3000 operating days without a lost time accident....3000!! thats pretty safe. so fatal daily? not that i've seen. if we were killing people out here we wouldn't be able to attract new workers to the industry.we go above and beyond to ensure our workers safety .ask a roofer how often he wears a safety harness then ask a rigger.

  • I worked on the rigs in auzzie for years and all the hands were good, then I went to yemen & africa and some good size rigs there, but when I went overseas and ran into the seal bashers & yanks, man were they a bunch of unprofeshional guys and didnt know shit, that is why they ran off all the canadians & yanks and brought all auzzies, because we know our shit. that is the bottom line. Good job in auzzie boys.

  • nice work guys, say g'day to andy for me!

last time i was there you had to tilt the tongs cause they didn't fit between mast and stump!

  • Slow ass Aussies.

Notice they can never chain out of the hole. The make-up tongs are used as the break-out tongs. Interesting.

  • really kicks ass totaly cool job

  • damn rights...blah blah blah...riggin is the life.....nothin wrong in taking pride in your work.

  • drillers talk so much shit, its good for a lugh. Everyone has gone deeper, faster, harder, longer, bigger rig, pipe, tongs, blah blah blah.

  • that is meant to say 12 hour tour or "shift" if you prefer.riggin is the life

  • y'all can say what u wan't to say.we made 100 connections in 10 hrs. thats ratholing the kelly every connection(on a single). as far as i'm concerned there isn't a hand in the oilpatch who can hold a candle to a single hand. that 100 connection night...i was tripping out of the hole @ shiftchange....and to think i started my 12 tour rigging up.....yup...rigging up.

  • yeah, lots of people on here like to talk shit for no fucking reason. Bit of a Napoleon syndrome it you ask me. Louder the guy smaller the dick

  • Just some water well trash here but in my experience doesn't matter how big the tong, as long as you've got counter balance set right, it's fuckin easy. I'm 5'3" and we'd run 6" pipe, tongs weren't to big, or to hard to handle.Trip in or out all day long, and have.

  • couldn't of said it better myself old mate.

    you must,ve been a DIRTY 30 veteran

  • Haha.. yea no shit.. come see my video's those are big rigs..

  • those tongs are FUCKING HUGE!!! you must be ripped buddy!!! i bet you can bench press a million pounds!!! you must be worlds strongest man to throw those HUGE tongs!!!

  • fuk you little worms talking shit if you came to my rig id wrap a chain tong around your face sledge hammer your knee caps and shove your 2 1/4 heater string up ya ass then push your brittle bloody carcase into the rotary table you pathetic excuss for a roustabouts arsehole!

  • buncha punk bitches
