But, he was one of the brightest musicians we'd ever heard - every song, every intonation, each new album - a huge surprise, and he always managed to introduce creative cadences, bridges, and mixing without excessive electronics, gimickry, and without losing his audience.

Unparalleled. I know he's doing his own music now, but I still am pained when I think of how quickly t/his time went.

I remember finding Cat Stevens albums in my mothers collection of LP's in the late 70's, she didn't think much of it because she had moved on to disco. but I was amazed by both the music and the unique album covers. 25yrs later, I'm still blown away.

That's such an awesome song. It kind of reminds me of King of Carrot Flowers by Neutral Milk Hotel. But that's just me. It's probably about losing a friend, or someone you really respected/looked up to.
