Ive never played this game but it looks like he focused on the downs of the game more than the ups of the game. Ive herd the game is fun and it looks fun. But it looks like you need to have patience to play it because the controls look like they move slow. @nick117ful You see i can explain that. First being there are 3 different camera modes you control while playing. The first one being the one when you're running around just looking, the basic one that is. The second one is when you ready your weapon and get the over the head shoulder view. That view is much slower due to the aim but once you get used to the cameras the game flows like water =) And the last view is FPS mode. Oh and you can also adjust the camera movement speed as you wish :P

i played the online demo when it came out a year or two ago and i liked it. i can see some game modes getting so complicated that it ruins the fun but teamdeath match and elimination and capture the flag (in this case a rubber duck/frog) is fun. it's not amazing but it's pretty enjoyable

Games not perfect, but what is? Definitely better than COD and GOW. I love MGO, and hopefully in future iterations of the game, they can even improve the game-play! switching weapons wasn't really a problem after 5 minutes playing the game, tapping the r2 button cycles rifle-handgun-grenade, so you're always just 1 or 2 taps from each weapon. Overall i think it's incredibly fun but yeah, the initial setup is kind of a pain trying to sneak is going to get you killed.
Also the person talking in this video is stupid, this is a game you have to learn, no one is good at it at the go. watch high lvs play this game (lv 15+) and see the big difference.

FYI if you hide properly, no one will find you except team mates. Sounds all right, but dam, I just don't want to go through the downloading process. When I checked 10 minutes after, it only went through 1%. Half a day of downloading?...maybe when I leave town for a day.
funny thing is that you can't compare mgs4 to call of duty or gears cause those are way better shooter games. the online is very accessible too. metal gear online isnt. the story is just fine and it plays well, but having to go through the whole frustrating thing of patching it is what made me stray away of even trying it at all. online games shouldn't be a hassle to play.

This game takes some getting used to, but once you do, nothing beats it. It's amazing if you're smart. I love the strategy involved. There's so many ways to play too. The CQC is wonderful. This isn't a game for dumb people. The game itself is definitely 10/10, but the Konami system bullshit fucking sucks. RUN IT ON PSN! I went through hell trying to recover my passwords just to buy a god damn expansion pack.
The game isn´t that bad, yeah sure weapon selection is weird and you always get caught when using the cardboard box, but the thing is that you learn these things over time. I think MGO is great since it is an online fps in which stealth actually is an option, keeping a low profile and not making noise can save you in this game. this makesMGo a bit more interesting than your average fps, i just hope people could acknowledge this.

The only reason we are hating is because his review was very inaccurate. His comment about weapon switching was wrong (you do not need to hold and cycle), he compared it to run-and-gun shooters like Gears and CoD. He expressed a very biased generalization about how "everyone" plays.
Reviews are supposed to be opinions, but you are supposed to try and remain unbiased and present both pros and cons to the game, not just whine about how you lost and how you cant read the manual.

i played the online demo when it came out a year or two ago and i liked it. i can see some game modes getting so complicated that it ruins the fun but teamdeath match and elimination and capture the flag (in this case a rubber duck/frog) is fun. it's not amazing but it's pretty enjoyable

Hes not reviewing MGS4 you morons -__- This is MGO only. MGS4 may have been a great single player game but the stiff gameplay of MGS doesn't translate well to Player vs Player. It may as well be called something else. Don't dare use stealth in this. Any decent player will spot you a mile away and swiftly end your life.

Games not perfect, but what is? Definitely better than COD and GOW. I love MGO, and hopefully in future iterations of the game, they can even improve the game-play! I personally cannot stand MW2, it's mindless camping / rushing. There's no skill involved. I'm a former pro css player and the gun recoil in these new games is just sad.

switching weapons wasn't really a problem after 5 minutes playing the game, tapping the r2 button cycles rifle-handgun-grenade, so you're always just 1 or 2 taps from each weapon. Overall i think it's incredibly fun but yeah, the initial setup is kind of a pain trying to sneak is going to get you killed.

If they have, they would say this is basically the best online shooter, where high lvs are actually good, unlike cod where ppl maxed suck. because you can level down when u play bad.

This is an awful review! The players on-line are extremely varied not only in play style but what skills each player is equipped with. FYI if you hide properly, no one will find you except team mates. I don't know if that was you throwing the grenade there, but that is a massive hotspot to throw a grenade, whoever that was, is a novice player.

funny thing is that you can't compare mgs4 to call of duty or gears cause those are way better shooter games. the online is very accessible too. metal gear online isnt. the story is just fine and it plays well, but having to go through the whole frustrating thing of patching it is what made me stray away of even trying it at all. online games shouldn't be a hassle to play.

This guy is a bit dim. How do you expect to pause online play? Oh, and weapon change solution...put it to cycle and not recall! This guy obviously only started playing a minute before doing this review.
Also, features that make mgo better than others: team chat, character customisation, community, and the clan system and lots more.
I hate mgo sometimes, mainly because of people insulting, and the leveling system could be improved...but it is the best out there.

I have to admit, sneaking in this game is frustrating, sometimes you manage to get behind someone and right after you kill them you get shot in the head by some guy whos wandering around. The shooting pisses me off, i'd rather have the aiming like Red Faction guerilla. lag is fucking annoying too. Sneaking is basicly hard to find in this game, it's either camp in the corner and pop out, or spam bullets with an M4

The point of MGO game isnt to sneak!!! Thats how konami intended it!!! Only beginners sneak, and the only reason its slow is because you need wired connection! What retard would try to sneak in a city? Maybe F.F. But not places like U.U. He probably didnt do automatching and went into a pro game. if you r going to review a game, do it right! when you "pay" for your gear its not real money! its reward points. and it took me like 2 hours to install mgo but i say it's worth it. and you dont just scroll through a menu, you can tap the R2 button! god!

This game takes some getting used to, but once you do, nothing beats it. It's amazing if you're smart. I love the strategy involved. There's so many ways to play too. The CQC is wonderful. This isn't a game for dumb people. The game itself is definitely 10/10, but the Konami system bullshit fucking sucks. RUN IT ON PSN! I went through hell trying to recover my passwords just to buy a god damn expansion pack.

The game isn´t that bad, yeah sure weapon selection is weird and you always get caught when using the cardboard box, but the thing is that you learn these things over time. I think MGO is great since it is an online fps in which stealth actually is an option, keeping a low profile and not making noise can save you in this game. this makesMGo a bit more interesting than your average fps, i just hope people could acknowledge this.

2. Konami ID's and Game ID's are a bitch, but it shouldn't stop you from playing the game
3. To Switch from a weapon to a gernade, just tap R2 (default settings)
