  • @Enjoysfishing Hello there. It's true that Jews were under the law but all the human race is under the law of their sinful nature and slaves to it until saved. God bless, Mick

  • Thank you sooo much for this! I needed this! I've been told time and time again that I was trying to "earn" my salvation because I speak about repentance and changed lives.

  • @jeannie52988 I get a lot of flack also. Many souls are seriously misled through believing they only need to 'believe' once and that is the end of it. I have outlined what I believe salvation is in my videos starting with Salvation Part 1. I sincerely believe that many in the church are seriously misled through lack of preaching on repentance and holy living. God bless, Mick

  • @christianissues My preacher does also. There are so many people in the world that profess Christianity but aren't really Christians because they haven't repented, nor do they feel the need to.

  • Let me get something straight; we don't have to keep the sabbath day anymore right? Because Jesus is our sabbath, He is our rest, peace, and joy. Am I correct in my interpretation?

  • @macroheart Yes, verses like Col. 1:13-16, Heb. 8:13 and Rom. 14:5 tell us that we don't have to keep Sabbaths or Feasts like the Jews did under the law. God bless,

    Mick

  • @christianissues None of the verses you cited rescind Gods commandments. On the contrary, Colossians defends new converts harassed by pagans. Read Col 2 to see Paul speak against pagans judging new christians who began keeping the Sabbaths day. Those who obey God today by observing His Sabbath day are also harassed by Sunday christians and unbelievers. The Lord of the Sabbath is coming to rule by Gods law and He will teach the nations the law of Moses (torah). Isaiah 2:1-5

  • @torahislife I believe that it is the Jews who are harassing the Christians. V.11 refers to circumcision which is now in Christ; v18 refers to worshipping angels which is a thing the Jews did, hence the first two chapters of Hebrews; v21 is a reference to the rules of the Pharisees. So, these verses clearly point to the Judaisers trying to get Christians back to the law. Also v14 says the law is cancelled and v16 says "therefore don't let anyone judge you about days etc". God bless, Mick

  • @christianissues I suggest you read a little on Judaism. Jews have NEVER worshipped angels, but pagans did and still do.Judaism is stricly monotheistic - worshipping only the God of Israel, This is the 1st of the 10 commandments (Exo 20) which both Jews and christians keep. Only diff is christians ignore the Sabbath command. Why? Paul addressed multyiple issues in his letters in a the 1st cent. in a mostly pagan world. Sometimes he addresses rabbinic legalism, but not in Colossians 2.

  • @torahislife Some Jews were of the belief that angels would rule the earth eventually, or something to that effect and that is why the emphasis is on Jesus being greater than the angels. Why else would there be so much on the subject? Also the other points I mentioned make it obvious that Jews were the problem and not the pagans. Plus there is Rom 14:5 and Gal. 4:9-11. God bless, Mick

  • @christianissues I'm very familiar with Judaism and have never heard of what you are claiming. Idoltary is worship of anything other than Elohim Yud -Hey-Vav-Hey. Pagans worship Creation (angels, nature, spirits..), not the Creator. Paul would never call God's commandments "man-made religion", "deceit" or a "vain philosophies", but the Bible repeatedly says such about pagans. Judaism is monotheistic, otherwise it's not Judiasm. Which school of rabbinic thought are you referring to???

  • @torahislife Hello there. I can't find anywhere where I have notes on it so I can't answer your question. I had a quick look on the net and found an article where some Jews prayed to angels. Regarding man made religion etc, there were many Jews with man made rules and they exist today. Also, I believe that if the Sabbath was to be kept it would be in the Acts 15 letter to the Gentiles or at least get a mention somewhere. God bless, Mick

  • @christianissues I can assure you no sect of Judaism worships angels - that violates the 1st commandment of God as well as the Shema - the cornerstone of Judaism of the single most important commandment that the Jew Jesus himself quoted (Mark 12:28/ Duet 6:4). We must not defend our religion that we love or the feelings we have about "God" or "Jesus". Jesus taught we are to love the WORDS from the God of Israel more than anything else by obeying Gods commands. That includes His Sabbaths

  • @torahislife Hello again. Perhaps you are right, I can't remember where I got that info from. In any case, I can't get past Col. 2:13-16, Gal. 4:10 and Rom. 14:5 telling me that days are not important but I believe in having a day of the week off otherwise we will not find time to worship the Lord and for family time. I am not as good as keeping to it as I should be. God bless, Mick

  • @christianissues Paul is speaking about MAN_MADE relgious days such as Sunday or Easter... these are man-made religious traditions and not commandments of God, so he says to not make a big deal of manmade opinions. He never says we can treat God's Holy days as a matter of opinion. Remember, the ONY Bible Paul and his students had was the Old Testament. Paul NEVER saw a New testament and His life and everything Paul taught, 100%, is from the law and the prophets!

  • @torahislife Hello again. I fail to see how Jesus being nailed to the cross (Col. 2:14) cancelled pagan things. But anyway, let's leave it at that as we are just going in circles. God bless you in your walk with the Lord, Mick

  • @christianissues Jesus nailed to the cross cancelled the "ordinances against us". What ordinances is against us? In God's law He says that the penalty for violating Gods commandments (sin) is death. So the ordinances against us stipulate death for our sin. Jesus died so that the penalt yo death was taken away, NOT God's law! Jesus did not come to lead us against our Father. That is what Satan does and he teaches people to do this in the name of Jesus. We've been lied to. Repent

  • @christianissues Try reading Cols 2 with a different perspective than what you have been taught. Read it with the understanding that Paul is defending these new believers who are learning about God and His commandments. Remember, the ONLY scripture Paul and these ex-pagans had was the Old Testament and everything they learned was from the law and prophets. They learned about the Sabbath and started keeping it and men with vain MAN-MADE religion started harassing them. Read the WHOLE chapter

  • @christianissues Acts 15 does not repeat any of the 10 commandments. According to your reasoning, we are free to worship other gods, commit adultery, steal, ignore Gods Sabbath day, lie, covet, murder etc... just because the Council of Jerusalem didnt repeat the 10 commandments? Acts 15 quotes commandments from the law that tell the Gentiles to abstian from fornication and to EAT KOSHER. Does your pastor teach you to eat Kosher like Peter and Paul did? Lets seek the truth, not tell fables

  • @christianissues None of those verses say Gods law is cancelled. Why would God cancel His law that He calls ETERNAL, perfect, and a blessing to ALL humans (inc. Gentiles) who keep it? See Isaiah 56 and Psalm 119!! Is God a liar or have we been lied to? Read Isaiah 2:1-5. Is Messiah coming in the future to put us under God's perfect law or is the Father also lying here too? WOrhsip the God of Israel alone and keep His commands just as Jesus did and taught us to do (Matt 5:7-10, Matt 7:21)

  • Nice job Mick!

  • Old sinful habits doesn't give pleasure anymore and I no longer delight on those such as drinking, smoking, watching porn, lying, laziness, gossip, and cussing to name a few of my sinful self. Thanks for these videos. It is like my reviewer of our bible study group.

  • Yes, before I was saved I loved my sin and never thought the day would come that I would look back and shiver at some of the things I got involved in ... and to think that the Lord saw it all. But the Good News is that we are forgiven and so I put it all behind me and don't let the devil wear me out with guilt ... no condemnation for those in Christ. God bless, Mick

  • @christianissues Looks like the Spirit is guiding us both well huh? Hehe, God bless you too sir.
