Cayenne, habanero, or just plain tabasco sauces (respectively) go nicely w/ balut. I like to top mine with finely sliced spring onion (scallions) or garlic chives.
wow hot sauce? havent tried it. but a good vinegar with plenty of chili and garlic is awesome.the only thing thats makes it nasty is how one imagine or savor the hair and the beaks and the feet and the eyes haha otherwise its very very delicious.
you'll feel hot after eating this cz its an aphrodisiac food and high in amino acids.dont eat too much bz its causes high blood pressure just for an hr so add a lot of lemon or vinegar on it.

the yellow part with rock salt is the best part of balut. and the soup
