Haha! You guys are both right... As far as colors go, yes, red and white are for audio and yellow is for video. But as for the cable itself, at the composition/analog level, there is zero difference in the construction of the RCA video and audio cables.

I have just received an E-Mail stating that the white cable is for the "audio". Also, he/she/it sarcastically referred to me as "genius". An ordinary s-video cable with 4 pin plugs on each end will work. A 4 pin plug will fit into a 7 pin socket. My computer has a 7 pin socket and my TV has the 4 pin and I've had no trouble connecting them with 4 pin plugs.

You can use your t.v. but The resolution is not the best. Most of the time I can't really see the words on my t.v. screen when I can on my monitor. But it may be different for you. And yes you can use any type of t.v. if you hook it up with the rca to coax cable converter.
