Everyone needs to eat but everyone needs knowledge as well. What if there was no money to trade and we went back to anything that was of value to the next man. Money is so powerful now you can't go into a store with a small piece of gold and purchase an iPod. You need money, cash, mulla and such. They need to make their money so maybe we as a people can come with a way to just teach. I know I wouldn't mind paying and giving it to everyone for free. If I had it like that.
The creators of the movie have a right to make a profit. Money is an important resource to make even movemenst work... pay back investors, etc. Just because it isn't free now, does not mean it wont be in the future. Why are books released in hardback (more expensive), then in paper back (cheaper)? Just because the guy an heir to some fortune, doesn't mean he shouldn't make money even if it is for good/altruistic cause. All the people that made the movie need to eat too.

I'm of 2 minds about this. I have a dozen educational videos and it really when they were selling to see pirated copies. On the other hand what is their goal, to make money or spread a message? If they truly cared they would ask for donations and not require a fee to see it. Having said that it costs money to produce a video and to maintain a site and how much are we willing to commit a small amount. Not an easy issue.

Let me tell you something. As someone who has studied energy all my life. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS FREE ENERGY. There never was and there never will be. OK In short:The cost of energy is the cost of converting the raw source to a usable form and/or getting it to the desired location. Sun, wind, coal, oil, uranium, zero-point etc. are natural and basically free.

What we must do, is prepare ourselves for what is to come. it is very simple, so much so, that our minds are unwilling to grasp it. We must open our minds, not close them, which is what we are doing by using groupthink. We must replace fear with love, sounds easy, but in the face of annihilation, well, maybe not so much. The problem isn't how much money you can make or lose with this message. We need a critical mass of people integrating the principles that this film addresses if we ever want to have them integrated on a greater than individual scale. Essentially by blocking people from viewing this film they are preventing that mass from forming. If the message was truly embraced by the whole world, they wouldn't need to worry about their potential financial losses or gains.
What they sent to you is exactly what you said, a huge contradiction. I understand the WANT or feeling that you DESERVE a compensation. The movie could have been an amazing GIFT to the world. It is true, the Zeitgeist Movement has shown their film for free and they do sell the DVD to those who wish to purchase it for $5 or 5 euros...I forget which I paid for it. I watched it for free a couple of times before choosing to pay for it to share with others. They do not require you to purchase a dvd or cinema ticket to view their documentary. They are not into the "Copywrong" mode that some others might be in. Recovering costs and demanding ALL pay are two different things.
Guys, watch Zeitgeist... it's really free. I was excited about Thrive based on the traler but when I saw that the producers threathened people due to copyright purposes I'm not so keen anymore. Last thing: Truthers should know by now that rarely is anything done by accident. If Nicola built a device to tap monetarily free energy & said device was allowed to the general masses then you still have to purchase the device, the engine or motor. You can't expect someone to produce the motor then just give it to you free of charge. Our system simply does not allow this just the same you don't go to work every day to perform a task & not receive monetary compensation, your time must be compensated with cash to survive or be homeless, it's that simple.

Here is another concept. You can stick a pipe in the ground & get all the natural gas you desire to run your house & your car, that's free energy the planet produces, but do you own the gas well? How much does it cost you to tap into that well & monitor it for safety? Then if you have an abundance of gas you might run a pipe to your neighbor then his neighbor etc but would you go to all of this expense without charging them for the installation of the pipe,...
...the maintenance or the amount of gas they use? I seriously doubt you would do all this for free & you likely don't have a million $ to run all that pipe anyway so you would have no choice to charge people for your free energy and in doing so now makes you the corporation as you lay gas lines all over the city, nothing is free on such a mass scale. You will always have to pay for something.
Let's take the solar panel. Build it then your fuel is monetarily free. The solar panel is a free energy device but it still costs money to build and there are maintenance costs so any machine or device that utilizes the energy that surrounds us will cost money to build & will have maintenance costs so nothing is ever totally free, you will always have to pay for the information , pay for the solar panel or device but you will benefit from the information or device.
The Movie Thrive, "IF" it is everything they proclaim it to be, should be free to anyone that wants to see it. It is sad that they have solutions, but it will cost us to see it... @fostergam 10 years should have been long enough to at least fact check. Foster's vacant head bobbing while Nassim dropped fanciful pseudofacts discredits him quite a bit. The flower of life was NOT burned into stone by some laser at 10000bc, although that would suit their claims nicely. More recent research and verification of various pictures of the area indicates that the patterns were added no more than a few centuries bc. And the lines were drawn carefully in red ochre.
Foster continuing...When people step up, I believe we need to support one another sustainably, not steal and justify while undermining the model that would be most threatening to the global domination agenda – the proliferation of thriving, win/win enterprises bringing truth and real global transformation.
Do you really think after spending decades and millions and taking these risks, all of a sudden our lives just became about the money? Please think it through more deeply. I have great respect for the Zeitgeist effort and yet it is struggling with money squabbles, not having enough for the next movie. Besides his DVDs, Alex Jones is paid for his ads and subscriptions, which we are not.
We knew the powers that be could not effectively attack our material or our integrity...so we expected they would go after our credibility and the viability of our enterprise. And now many have played right into their hands and are doing their work for them, on both fronts! They are shrewd and they got many of you again!
Kimberly and I have dedicated our lives and most of our resources, borrowing money and bringing in investors, to create this work. We have lived lives of integrity and caring, to the best of our ability. We have sought deep truths and spent years verifying and cohering them for easy integration - to save time for the many who are debt-ridden and working hard just to make it and take care of their families.
Do you, in your heart of hearts, truly believe that it is a sustainable model to teach your children that if THRIVE were trivial entertainment, you would pay me for it, but since it is of real life value, for which I am risking a lot, people should feel justified in stealing it and recommending the same to friends?

If Mr. Gamble does not wish to give away the movie for free, that's his decision, and for someone else to decide that he should give it away for free - well, I don't feel that is proper.
So is Mr. Gamble giving a "convoluted" message by charging money? I think not - he certainly had to spend money to make the movie - so did the people he spent money on give him their time and energy for free?
I see both sides of the issue. I did watch movie while up; very much enjoyed the powerful message. I will save my money to purchase this even though I have already seen it so that I may share it with others. With respect to their request to take the movie down, I have to point something out. Should someone who has talent to build homes be expected to do it for free? I don't think it is fair to ask them to share it for free. Please don't slam me for sharing my opinion. Tx
@catcorner59 - These guys aren't building homes. They already did their work and probably paid off most of their expenses. The homebuilder has to build a new home every time you hire them.. Plus - the point was this: is this a service to build a movement or is it a business to make money?
I have complied with their request to remove it form You Tube, the videos are no longer available. I also said they have the right to make money and even profit from their creation. What I do not agree with is, if they truly wanted this message to get out to the masses they would not care if people shared it on You Tube, they will still earn profits from those who pay for the film and from donations. So their threat to sue contradicts their message in the movie and proves their goal is not..

@AMVeller I whole heartedly agree. This film was produced to make a profit, instead of perhaps asking for donations? (if they really needed the money..Procter & Gamble family?) Now the entire film is suspect. I thought the film was beautifully done - love the Utopian feel of it, but you are correct in order to turn this into a reality - we need lots and lots and lots of people, and not just the 1% or 2% who would actually have bought it. It looks like they are trying to milk a dire situation
to get it out to the masses, but rather to make money.
The fact of the matter is the solutions they provide need one major component...people, lots of people, millions of people. In knowing that; does it make sense to limit the distribution of the film to only the few who will purchase it? I think not. Are you starting to see the contradiction?

In General people will not purchase this movie as most people will not even be aware whats going on. More reason to put it out there for free. The message in the movie, the facts it puts forth are true, and is a great tool to wake up the many people who are asleep to the information. Suppressing the information defeats that purpose, suppressing the information to gain profits should make you think about the true intentions of the makers, not the message.

So does the Thrive movement really wanted to improve our lot? Sure they do but the movie contains information that's already on the Net for the longest time, it is not new information. Money is so powerful now you can't go into a store with a small piece of gold and purchase an iPod. You need money, cash, mulla and such. The creators of the movie have a right to make a profit. Money is an important resource to make even movemenst work... pay back investors, etc. Just because it isn't free now, does not mean it wont be in the future. Why are books released in hardback (more expensive), then in paper back (cheaper)? Just because the guy an heir to some fortune, doesn't mean he shouldn't make money even if it is for good/altruistic cause. All the people that made the movie need to eat too.

I'm of 2 minds about this. I have a dozen educational videos and it really when they were selling to see pirated copies. On the other hand what is their goal, to make money or spread a message? If they truly cared they would ask for donations and not require a fee to see it. Having said that it costs money to produce a video and to maintain a site and how much are we willing to commit a small amount. Not an easy issue.

Let me tell you something. As someone who has studied energy all my life. THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS FREE ENERGY. There never was and there never will be. Tesla (or anybody else) never invented such a thing. Although I haven't seen this movie, from the trailer I've seen it seems to be based on the assumption that such a thing exists. If this is the case then it's a HOAX.

OK In short:The cost of energy is the cost of converting the raw source to a usable form and/or getting it to the desired location. Sun, wind, coal, oil, uranium, zero-point etc. are natural and basically free.
So..while it might be possible to produce cheaper energy, it will never be free.
e.g. The Sunshine if free but solar energy is not and never will be. Nor will any other form of energy.

The problem isn't how much money you can make or lose with this message. We need a critical mass of people integrating the principles that this film addresses if we ever want to have them integrated on a greater than individual scale. Essentially by blocking people from viewing this film they are preventing that mass from forming. If the message was truly embraced by the whole world, they wouldn't need to worry about their potential financial losses or gains.

To offer another perspective.. Given the content of the film these people may be risking their 'inheritance fortune'.. I think that they are putting their asses on the line in doing this, and if they are risking their fortune as well, then they will need a huge influx of cash in order to keep this going. The thing is we don't know what their motives are, and those motives may need to remain private for now.. The content and how we spread it is what is vital. Get the word out as always.

It is true, the Zeitgeist Movement has shown their film for free and they do sell the DVD to those who wish to purchase it for $5 or 5 euros...I forget which I paid for it. I watched it for free a couple of times before choosing to pay for it to share with others. They do not require you to purchase a dvd or cinema ticket to view their documentary. They are not into the "Copywrong" mode that some others might be in. Recovering costs and demanding ALL pay are two different things.

By the way...the DVD I received, arrived in less than 24 hours and has this printed on it. I have no problem with Thrive folks asking me to pay $5 to watch their movie - that's their right. I definitely won't buy it though, because they are asking me to pay for something without letting me see what it is I'm buying (i.e., they're relying on the "trust me" sales pitch). For similar reasons I wouldn't buy a car without driving it first. So I reckon if Thrive really does expose a solution to the world's problems, I'll be in the dark. I can live with that - matter of principle.

The "Thrive" producers have to know already the huge benefits it would bring to release for free and yet they haven't. So that leaves us with the only question to ask, why? This part of the response says it all: "realistic economic principles." Basically, that says that they intend to keep making money - which is their right by law, but goes completely against the ideas in the movie. The motivation seems to be the same for them and for the elites who want to control everything the majority says and does: Greed. It's too bad that they chose to take that stance. I was planning to preview it online before I bought the actual DVD to share with friends and family.

Here is another concept. You can stick a pipe in the ground & get all the natural gas you desire to run your house & your car, that's free energy the planet produces, but do you own the gas well? How much does it cost you to tap into that well & monitor it for safety? Let's take the solar panel. Build it then your fuel is monetarily free. The solar panel is a free energy device but it still costs money to build and there are maintenance costs so any machine or device that utilizes the energy that surrounds us will cost money to build & will have maintenance costs so nothing is ever totally free, you will always have to pay for the information , pay for the solar panel or device but you will benefit from the information or device.

This action shows he was mistaken on that conspiracy theory. I see both sides of the issue. I did watch movie while up; very much enjoyed the powerful message. I will save my money to purchase this even though I have already seen it so that I may share it with others. With respect to their request to take the movie down, I have to point something out. Should someone who has talent to build homes be expected to do it for free? I don't think it is fair to ask them to share it for free. Please don't slam me for sharing my opinion. Tx

I have complied with their request to remove it form You Tube, the videos are no longer available. I also said they have the right to make money and even profit from their creation. What I do not agree with is, if they truly wanted this message to get out to the masses they would not care if people shared it on You Tube, they will still earn profits from those who pay for the film and from donations. So their threat to sue contradicts their message in the movie and proves their goal is not..

Now the entire film is suspect. I thought the film was beautifully done - love the Utopian feel of it, but you are correct in order to turn this into a reality - we need lots and lots and lots of people, and not just the 1% or 2% who would actually have bought it. The message in the movie, the facts it puts forth are true, and is a great tool to wake up the many people who are asleep to the information. Suppressing the information defeats that purpose, suppressing the information to gain profits should make you think about the true intentions of the makers, not the message.

So does the Thrive movement really wanted to improve our lot? Sure they do but the movie contains information that's already on the Net for the longest time, it is not new information. They just presented it differently. Conclusion: More hype to come about Thrive. I won't buy Thrive because the information is already out there and it's free.
